Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has two regions, Trosky and Kuttenberg. Both of these regions feature a lot of side content. In the latter, you may come across Jan Posy of Zimburg at Bylany. Talking to him can trigger Bellatores, a side quest with a pretty interesting interaction.

This mission tasks Henry with accompanying Jan Posy of Zimburg in order to save his brother, who has been captured by none other than the troublesome Cumans. Bellatores is pretty straightforward but features some important decisions. Here, we will guide you on how to complete this quest easily.

This quest may not be available after you have completed the game. After finishing the main story, we went to the location, and Posy wasn’t there. So, make sure to trigger it after you have completed the Speak of the Devil quest, as that is the main requirement.

How To Start The Bellatores Quest

To start this quest, talk to Jan Posy of Zimburg in Bylany. He can be found north of the town, and if you have already spoken to the innkeeper about what’s new, Posy will be marked on the map. Wear good armor and equip a weapon. When done, talk to Posy and agree to help him.

As soon as you start the quest, leave everything and follow Jan Posy of Zimburg on the horse. If you don’t follow him, then you will automatically fail the quest. If you want to do another quest first, then complete that one before even talking to Posy.

Then, immediately follow him on the horse. Once you are at the location, Posy will start a conversation with some bandits. He aims to kill them, but you can interrupt and save their lives. However, you must pass a skill check, with Persuasion being the best.

Make sure you have good armor and a weapon, as there will be a pretty hectic fight just ahead. Posy will give you a chance to gear up, so use that time to do so.

If you convince Posy, he will let the bandits go and give you further tasks. Getting the halberd is optional; you can just grab it from the front of the cart. The main objective is to find the priest. From your starting position, the priest is just on the right side behind a tree. Investigate and let Posy know.

Track Down And Attack The Cumans

After talking to Posy, he will start moving, so follow him. Soon, you will encounter a woman; speak to her, and she will tell you where the Cumans are. Follow Posy again and then think of a plan with him. He wants to attack the Cumans immediately, but you can convince him to do it at night with a skill check.

The persuasion skill check has medium difficulty, so it will be successful if you have around 15 points. When it is night, ask Posy to let you go alone, as it will be easier this way. There will only be five Cumans you have to defeat, as the other four will be sleeping.

The best option is to perform the stealth kill on the active guards. If you fail to do so, the Cumans will attack you together, making the fight much harder. If you aren’t confident in your stealth skills, take Posy with you and fight them head-on.

Stay with Posy for a better chance of winning, and don’t let him fall. Even if he falls, it doesn’t mean he is dead, but it will make the fight harder for you, so try to keep him on his toes. However, if he falls on the ground, there is no need to fear for his safety, and once you have taken care of all the Cumans, he will get up again.

Try to take out at least a couple of the enemies stealthily; this way, you will have a better chance of winning.

Find Miroslav

Before you find Mroslav, you can find a chest on the left side. That chest has a hard difficulty, so if you aren’t skilled enough at thievery, you may not be able to lockpick it. However, you can loot the keys to this chest from one of the Cumans.

Loot the body of every single one until you get the keys and open the chest for some items. There will be Groschen and some armor. After that, go on the path a little to the right, and you will find Miroslav just ahead. Go down the stairs and untie him.

After freeing him, you will both talk to Posy, and he will give you 500 Groschen as a reward. This will end the quest, but he asks you to return in a few days. Make sure to go back to him after a few days as a pretty interesting side activity awaits you and, of course, some rewards.
