Completing the base game of Monster Hunter Wilds allows you to enter the endgame, or High Rank areas of the game. While the maps themselves don’t change, all the materials you forge and monsters you fight will now give you higher rarity materials, letting you craft much better gear.
While a lot of upgrade paths for weapons require materials from specific monsters, there are also the basic routes that let you craft powerful weapons just using ores found throughout the world. One High Rank ore you’ll need to find is 
Fucium Ore

Where To Get Fucium In Monster Hunter Wilds
Fucium is found only in the High Rank region of the Ruins of Wyveria. To get here, you’ll not only need to first beat the base game but then raise your Hunter Rank to 20 before getting the post-game story mission that takes you back to Wyveria. After completing this mission, you’ll be able to explore the region again and farm Fucium at any Mining Outcrop you can find. These outcrops have the chance of dropping:
Mining Outcrops usually have three of four things to be looted each, and despite their rarity, there doesn’t seem to be a cap on how many can be Fucium Ore. Your Palico can also help out and gather one item from an outcrop, but still go behind them to make sure you get whatever was left as they won’t get everything.
Entering High Rank / the endgame does lock you out of naturally finding low-rank materials, so you’ll need to accept Low-Rank quests in order to get basic materials should you ever need them again.

Every Mining Outcrop In Ruins Of Wyveria In Monster Hunter Wilds
Unfortunately, there are only a few Mining Outcrops to be found throughout Wyveria, here’s each one so you can get as many Fucium Ore
as you need.
- In Area 1, there’s one just south of Base Camp and another west of base camp along the northern wall.
- There’s one in the northern section of Area 15.
- Two in Area 8 along the western wall leading to Area 9.
- Three in Area 5, all in the southwestern section of the wide open area.
Wyveria is a layered region and may be difficult to get around. Find these outcrops on your map while riding your Seikret and place a waypoint on the Outcrop. This will have your Seikret automatically run to the location without you needing to follow the scoutflies.
