We all love the excitement of a new launch, but coming to a great game after the fact might be even better. You can pick them up cheaply, often with all the DLC included, and they’re much more likely to run smoothly with any major bugs ironed out. Right now, the two best Fallout games are heading up a bundle that includes more apocalyptic favorites such as Frostpunk and Wolfenstein, along with plenty of other excellent games. This ‘special editions bundle’ from Fanatical gives you the choice of what you want, and you’ll get them all on Steam in their most complete forms for as low as $3 per game if you buy enough.

As the name suggests, this bundle deal focuses on special editions. Bumper packs, anthologies, ultimate editions, and game of the year releases – you’ll get the full roster all packed in. The big highlights are Fallout 3 and New Vegas, which are still the peak pairing of the apocalypse RPGs. Bethesda’s Capital Wasteland remains the most distinctive setting in the series and is packed with some spectacular side quests. Obsidian’s follow-up, meanwhile, brings the best characters and central narrative the Fallout games have ever seen.

Crucially, you’re getting all the expansions with these versions, and the add-ons are unquestionably some of the best parts of each game. Fallout 3’s Broken Steel is near-essential because it lets you continue after the main quest, and I’m particularly fond of both The Pitt and Point Lookout as well. For New Vegas, it’s hard to beat the story and writing of Old World Blues, but all four of them bring something distinct to the table and are most certainly worth coming back for if you skipped them back in the day.

There’s plenty more in this bundle, however. Punishing survival city-building game Frostpunk brings more apocalyptic vibes, or you can take a more aggressive approach to your troubles in the bombastic Wolfenstein double pack of The New Order and The Old Blood. Then there’s Lovecraftian card game Cultist Simulator, gloriously goofy side-scrollers Guns, Gore, and Cannoli 1 and 2, Fire Emblem style tactical RPG Symphony of War, speedy multiplayer RTS Circle Empires Rivals, and pixel-art Command and Conquer successor 8-Bit Armies.

That’s just the start, so you’ll be spoiled for choice here – you’re sure to find something worth your time, and the more games you add the less you’ll pay. Add two and the price is $3.50 / £3.50 per game; three and they fall to $3.33 / £3.33 each; and five or more for the cheapest offer at just $3 / £3. If you were to grab every item in the bundle, you’d pay $62.96 / £62.96, down from an initial price of $722.62 / £595.02.

The Build your Own Special Editions bundle is available until Wednesday March 19 via Fanatical. Expect to pay between $3 / £3 and $3.50 / £3.50 per game depending on the number you buy at once. Click the button above to take a look, or head directly to Fanatical.
