All Races Tier List

There are several races in Rune Slayer, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Your playstyle will depend on your choice of race, because some offer better defense, while others provide speed or unique combat skills. To help you determine the best option, we created a race tier list based on their performance in the game. We used a rating system from S to C:

  • S-Tier – The best races with strong abilities and no significant drawbacks.
  • A-Tier – Good races that have strengths but are not as dominant as S.
  • B-Tier – Average races with limited potential or minor advantages.
  • C-Tier – The worst races, which are significantly inferior to the others and are not recommended for use.

S-Tier Races

Dullahan

A very rare race with powerful attacks and the ability to regenerate when killing enemies. The main feature is the opportunity to remove the head and use it for additional visibility, which opens up strategic opportunities in PvP and PvE. Additionally, the Undead Body passive makes Dullahans even more protected, and, in general, an ideal choice for players who want to dominate in battle.

Elf

Elves have high movement speed and a passive bonus to mana and focus, making them excellent strikers and thieves. Additionally, their active temporary invisibility ability allows them to avoid danger and operate effectively in stealth mode. They are great for players who prefer quick, surprise attacks.

Half-Golem

Half-golems are known for their extreme endurance and ability to absorb a significant amount of damage. Although they are slow, their armor and physical strength compensate for this. An ideal choice for tanks, as they can withstand strong attacks and protect allies in battle.

B-Tier Races

Slime

Slimes are exceptionally immune to most status effects, making them useful against enemies that rely on debuffs. They can also regenerate their HP, but have significant weaknesses to magic attacks and fire. This limits their effectiveness in the late game, where magical enemies are more common.

Ailuran

Ailurans are fast and mobile, allowing them to dodge attacks easily and move quickly across the map. However, their weak defense and low combat stats make them less effective in close combat. They are good for players who like to play aggressively but need excellent reaction and skill.

C-Tier Races

The player character with a Lantern in the forest near the starting location in Rune Slayer.

Human

Humans do not have any unique abilities, making them the weakest race in the game. They have small mana boosts, but in general, there are no bonuses to speed, attack, or other useful traits, and their stats remain average. Because of this, they have no advantage over other races, which makes the game much more difficult to play.

Orc

Orcs have good stamina and some survivability bonuses, but they are significantly inferior to other races in combat aspects. They do not have a strong attack or useful abilities, which makes them ineffective in the late game. They can be an acceptable choice for players who want to play the role of a hardy warrior, but other races do it much better.
