Junpei and Yuji had formed a bond, only for the former to lose his mother courtesy of Mahito’s trickery. He’s given the power to wield cursed techniques and almost kills his school rival, only for Yuji to step into the fray and try and knock some sense into Junpei.

The battle is a short and emotional affair that ends with Yuji being traumatized after his friend is transfigurated by Mahito. It fills him with rage, and he pounces on Mahito not long after to make this villain pay.
