While the way in which those alternate attires are created, or obtained, is fairly straightforward, actually using them in a match is another story entirely. WWE 2K25: How to Get Alternate Attires

The first step towards using alternate attires is getting some of them, and there are two ways in which that can be done:

Create

Players who want to create an alternate attire should begin by navigating to the “Superstar” section of the Creations menu. Players should then select the WWE 2K25 superstar who is to receive an alternate attire, select “Attire,” pick the attire slot that they want to edit, and then make their desired alterations.

After all the alterations have been made, players should press the “Accept” input twice to return to the selected superstar’s “Create Your Superstar” screen. They should then select “Personal Information” and confirm that “Use As Alternate Attire?” has been set to “Yes.” WWE 2K25 players should then press the “Accept” input twice and select “Save and Complete” to save the attire.

To note, alternate attires that are made in this way will have the name “Alt. Attire” by default. Players who want to give the attire a different name should take these additional actions when visiting the “Personal Information” menu:

1. Set “Use As Alternate Attire?” to “No.”
2. Select “Name Information.”
3. Select “Name,” and enter the desired name for the attire.
4. Press the “Accept” input to return to the Personal Information menu.
5. Set “Use As Alternate Attire?” to “Yes.”

Download

Players can download the alternate attires that other players have made by taking these actions:

1. Select “Community Creations” from the Online menu.
2. Select “Downloads.”
3. Select “Superstars.”
4. Select a superstar, and click “Download.”

Once a community-made superstar has been downloaded, wrestling fans should take these actions to set it as an alternate attire:

1. Select “Superstar” from the Creations menu.
2. Navigate to the “Alternate Attire” tab. If the download appears under that category, it has already been set as an alternate attire.
3. If the download does not appear under that category, navigate to the “Superstars” tab.
4. Locate the download within that category, select it, and click “Edit Superstar.”
5. Select “Personal Information.”
6. Set “Use As Alternate Attire?” to “Yes.”

To note, only attires that have been edited onto preset superstars can be set as alternate attires, which means that many of the superstars that are available through Community Creations cannot be used for these purposes. Here is a scenario that may help players better understand this idea:

A player creates a brand-new version of Kane through the Superstar Creation feature. The player uploads this new version to Community Creations. Another player downloads it, thinking that they will be able to use its attire with the version of Kane that is officially included in WWE 2K25. However, they will not find a “Use As Alternate Attire?” option after selecting this version through the Superstar Creation menu. This is because the new Kane is actually an entirely new wrestler, with no actual connection to the preset Kane, and there is thus no superstar for which it can serve as an alternate attire.

WWE 2K25: How to Use Alternate Attires

The way that alternate attires are used after they are obtained depends on the WWE 2K25 game mode that the player has selected. Here are details about how to use alternate attires in modes where it is possible to do so:

Play

When creating a match in Play mode, players should simply select a superstar who has an alternate attire. Players will see all the superstar’s available alternate attire upon making that selection, and they should pick the attire that they want the superstar to wear for the match.

Universe

Superstar Mode

For the Superstar variant of Universe, players can pick their selected superstar’s attire from the mode’s Superstar Main Menu, before starting a match. To make that pick, players should click on “Edit Superstar,” select “Attires,” and then choose the alternate attire that is of interest. Players should then press the “Save” input and choose the Universe save slot that they are using for this superstar.

After a player has generated a match for their superstar, they can change the attire of their opponent by taking these actions:

1. Return to the home screen.
2. Select “Roster” from the Extras menu.
3. Click “Edit Superstars”
4. Locate the opponent, and select them.
5. Click “Attires,” and choose the default attire.
6. Press the “Save” input.
7. Select the Universe save slot in which the match is going to take place.
8. Select the opponent again.
9. Click “Attires,” and choose the desired alternate attire.
10. Press the “Save” input.
11. Select the Universe save slot in which the match is going to take place.

Players who return to their Universe save and start the match after working through these steps should find that the opponent wears the selected alternate attire during the match in WWE 2K25. If that does not occur, players should quit the match, repeat the preceding steps, and check again. Indeed, there seems to be some inconsistency in making an opponent wear alternate attire in this mode, and players may need to try several times before they find success.

Classic

In the Classic variant of Universe, players should take these actions to give any superstar an alternate attire for their matches:

1. Select “Superstars” in the Classic Main Menu.
2. Locate the superstar, and select them.
3. Click “Attires,” and choose the desired alternate attire.
4. Press the “Save” input.
5. Select the Classic Universe save slot.

MyGM

Players can change the attire of any superstar in WWE 2K25‘s MyGM mode by taking these actions:

1. Return to the home screen.
2. Select “Roster” from the Extras menu.
3. Click “Edit Superstars”
4. Locate the superstar, and select them.
5. Click “Attires,” and choose the desired attire.
6. Press the “Save” input.
7. Select the “Roster (for Play)” save slot.

Players should now find that the superstar is wearing the selected attire in their MyGM mode matches.
