Honkai: Star Rail - Every Leak and Rumor About Hyacine and Cipher So Far

The Chrysos Heirs members are slowly being revealed as the Amphoreus arc progresses in Honkai: Star Rail. The recent Version 3.1 story already introduces upcoming playable characters, like Anaxa and Hyacine, and succeeding updates will likely reveal more. Honkai: Star Rail‘s Amphoreus arc will last until December, making it the longest adventure to date, and many fans have barely scratched the surface of the planet’s mysteries.

The next set of Honkai: Star Rail banner characters are Castorice and Anaxa, who are launching in Version 3.2, following the roles they played in the Trailblazer’s journey to the Grove of Epiphany. Before the next banner even drops, there are already rumors about Hyacine and Cipher, who are also Chrysos Heirs, finally becoming playable soon.

Who Are Hyacine and Cipher?

As mentioned, Hyacine and Cipher are both members of the Chrysos Heirs, a group of heroes who uphold the power of the Titans and are prophesied to save Amphoreus from ruin. Hyacine, a pink-haired young woman from the Grove of Epiphany, is essentially a nurse and surgeon, as well as an assistant lecturer. When Honkai: Star Rail fans first meet her, she’s treating the wounds of various citizens who were hurt during the attack outside of Okhema City.

Meanwhile, Cipher is a catlike character from Dolos, who’s said to possess godlike speed and is a known thief in Amphoreus. She also holds the Coreflame of Trickery from the Titan Zagreus, but has abandoned her Flame-Chasing duty to live and work on her own.

Elements and Paths

According to a number of leaks, Hyacine is rumored to be a 5-star Wind-type Remembrance character, while Cipher is a 5-star Quantum-type Nihility character.

Possible Release Schedule

Apart from the rumors that the banner characters might come out in Version 3.3, some believe that Hyacine might launch in the first half, and Cipher in the second. Honkai: Star Rail has yet to confirm this, so this release schedule is still subject to change.

Gameplay Rumors

A recent report from leaker luna claims that Hyacine is allegedly a “burning HP healer” and Cipher is a DPS unit. With Hyacine being a nurse in canon, it would make sense for her to be a healer of sorts. But it would be interesting to see how Honkai: Star Rail would pull this off with a rumored Remembrance character, especially since healers usually follow the Path of Abundance.

Meanwhile, Cipher being a DPS unit would make sense because Nihility characters deal damage over time (DOT), and can also apply debuffs. The leaker notes that Cipher’s abilities reportedly focus on CRIT upgrades, potentially making her a viable DPS in the future. This also follows a previous report that Honkai: Star Rail allegedly has plans to strengthen DOT units from Version 3.0 onward, so this might be the first sign of this change.

Story Appearance

The story in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 already introduces Hyacine, along with Anaxa, as Amphoreus expands to the Grove of Epiphany. This is definitely a sign that she’ll become playable sometime soon, but Honkai: Star Rail has yet to confirm when.

As for Cipher, prominent leaker Sakura Haven reported that she might make an appearance in Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.2. The story in the update is still under wraps, but one map leak seems to tease a domain that’s possibly connected to Castorice, which might be an important plot point in the update. How Cipher would play into this story is still pretty much a mystery.
