Just about all the materials you find in the open world of Monster Hunter Wilds can be crafted to use tools to either heal you in combat or help you take down the monsters you’re hunting. While you can choose to just focus on fighting with your chosen weapon, a lot of the consumables make you much more effective with whatever play style you choose.

One type of consumable players should always consider having on them are the powders, which give various buffs. Each of these powders requires Godbug Essence

when crafting; here’s where to easily farm some to get more than enough.

Where To Farm Godbugs In Monster Hunter Wilds

Godbug Essence

is the material obtained whenever you find and interact with a Godbug. This can be done either by hand, by your Palico, or with your Slinger. No matter where you farm Godbugs, they will respawn after fifteen real-world minutes where they can be farmed again. Godbugs can be found in multiple regions throughout the game; here are the best areas in each of those reasons to help you make the most of your time.

Plains

While the plains are a great place to farm a lot of basic materials, Area 16 is the only good one for farming Godbugs. The first two can be found along the northern side of the path to Area 17, with the next two being found along the southern wall, with one more found along the southern wall as you’re entering Area 17.

Forest

The forest has a few good locations, and at least one or two Godbugs can be found in every other region. That being said, Area 16 is by far the best as it has five Godbug spawns within only a small area that your Seikret can traverse with ease. On your way to Area 16, you’ll also pass through Areas 14 and 17, both of which have three Godbug spawn locations apiece.

Basin

Compared to the forest, the Basin isn’t even worth your time to farm at. However, if you’re already running around this region and don’t want to leave, you’ll find two Godbugs along the path to Area 17 and one in Area 14.

Cliffs

The Cliffs are a great place to farm other late-game materials for Low-Rank and does offer just a few locations to farm Godbugs. Areas 12 and 5 both offer two Godbug spawn locations a piece, and both aren’t far from Pop-Up Camp spots making them easy locations to hit.
