Yerbana And Its Importance In Star Wars’ Clone Wars

It was also the site for one of the more harrowing fights where General Anakin Skywalker really stood out and started to become a hero of the Republic.

Skywalker and his unit, the 501st, were victorious in the Battle of Yerbana and were free to assistant General Obi-Wan Kenobi and his own unit, the 212th. Kenobi and his regiment of Clone Troopers struggled to make advancements on a large bridge outside a nearby city as they fought against the Separatists.

Upon arrival on the bridge, Skywalker informed Kenobi that the 501st had come to his aid and teased him for hiding behind cover while the inhabitants of the nearby city suffered at the hands of the Separatists. Skywalker’s plan started with him calling for a ceasefire and declaring surrender to the droid forces in an attempt to draw the enemy’s super tactical droid into the open. Meanwhile, the Clone Captain nicknamed “Rex,” led clone jetpack troopers of the 501st underneath the bridge.

The tactical droid came out in the open, coming to see why the fighting had stopped and it was here where Skywalker was able to take him down quickly and in single combat. Once the leader of the droid army was taken down, the rest of the clone army was able to dispatch the seperatist forces and the Battle of Yerbana was officially won by the forces that were cast as the “good guys” in The Clone Wars were victorious and the Republic took control of an important planet.

In the later years of Star Wars lore, Yerbana was largely forgotten as far as being a big part of the storytelling, but it was an important part of the wars that allowed the Empire to be born.
