Some materials in Monster Hunter Wilds serve some really niche services. Some are only used to make very specific recipes that require a lot of luck and effort just to get ahold of. However, there are some that are far easier to find in the game’s world that can be used for a variety of different uses. One of those materials is the Freezer Sac, though players shouldn’t take its ease of finding to mean it is completely useless.
Every material in the game has a purpose, and players never know when they may need to have some in stock in order to craft something that they need. This is why it’s important to stock up on everything, including Freezer Sacs, whenever they are able to. That requires knowing where to get Freezer Sacs, though, and even more, that means knowing what they can be used to craft in the first place. To help answer that, this guide is here to break it all down.

Monster Hunter Wilds: Freezer Sac Location
Players will be able to find Freezer Sacs in Monster Hunter Wilds using a combination of quest completion and hunting down specific monsters in the game.
There are a handful of quests that will automatically give out Freezer Sacs as a reward for a player finishing them:
- Fleeting Victory
- Echoing from the Cliffs
- Frozen Lord on the Precipice
- When Frost Falls
- Secure Wounded Hollow
There are also a couple of Monsters that players can find in the open world, and once they have hunted them, there is a chance that a Freezer Sac will either be dropped for them or can be carved from the corpse:
- Hirabami (20% chance to get as a reward for killing)
- Jin Dihaad (18% chance to get as a reward for killing)
Of the two monsters that can drop the Freezer Sac, the players’ best bet for an easier time is defeat is the Hirabami. While neither of them is a cakewalk, the Hirabami is a little bit easier to deal with and also comes with a better chance of actually getting the Freezer Sac when hunted.
Players should also note that there are no merchants that will sell Freezer Sacs. This material must be found through hunting and completing the above quests.
What Are Freezer Sacs Used For?
