In Ranch Simulator, especially during the early stages of the game, you can earn a good amount of money by completing side quests before taking care of any animals. Additionally, there are a few side quests that you can repeatedly accept whenever you need extra cash.

However, some side quests are not repeatable and can only be completed once. In general, most side quests reward you with money, and they are not particularly complicated. You can have a maximum of two active quests at the same time.
How To Complete All Of The Hunter’s Side Quests
Unlike other quest givers, the Hunter’s location is marked on your map. The Hunter can be found at the cabin located on the high hill east of the General Store. The Hunter offers you a total of three side quests:
- Hunt
- Nimble Rabbits
- Shooting Predators
How To Complete The Nimble Rabbits Quest
After accepting this quest, the Hunter will ask you to catch a rabbit. Head to the marked blue dot, which is located southeast of the Hunter’s cabin. There will be a rabbit in the area, but it can be hard to spot as it blends into the ground.
The rabbit will start running when you approach it, but it will pause from time to time. Catching it by running after it is not difficult. Once you catch the rabbit, interact with it and bring it back to the Hunter alive. This will complete the quest. This quest can be repeated and rewards you with 200 dollars each time.
If you can’t find the rabbit, abort the quest and accept it again.
How To Complete The Hunt Quest
For the Hunt quest, all you need to do is bring eight pieces of wild meat to the Hunter. You can obtain wild meat by hunting animals like deer and bears. To hunt them, you can use the revolver you got during the tutorial. If you’re out of ammo, you can purchase more from the General Store.
The easiest way to collect wild meat is by hunting deer. Deer usually die after one to three bullets. You can typically find deer north and northeast of your ranch. Each deer drops three pieces of wild meat. You can also hunt bears or wolves near the lake area, but unlike deer, they will attack you on sight.
Additionally, you can sell each piece of wild meat to the General Store for 15 dollars, but with this quest, you’re essentially selling them to the Hunter for 25 dollars each. After delivering the required eight pieces of wild meat, the Hunter will reward you with 200 dollars. This quest can be repeated.
How To Complete The Shooting Predators Quest
For this quest, you need to kill predator animals in the game — bears and wolves. Make sure you have enough ammo for your weapon before heading out. Additionally, you can buy a dog from the General Store, which will help protect you during these fights.
Although bears and wolves can spawn randomly, you’ll have a good chance of finding them south and southwest of the lake.
Another useful trick is to take the ‘Annoying Foxes’ quest from the Female Rancher, which causes foxes to spawn. You can repeatedly start and abort this quest to spawn foxes and make progress toward the Shooting Predators quest faster.
It’s also a smart idea to combine this quest with ‘The Hunt’ quest since the wild meat you collect from predators can be handed over to the Hunter to complete that quest as well.
Be careful, though — if predators kill you, you will have to restart from your last save.
Completing this quest rewards you with a rifle, and unlike other Hunter quests, this one cannot be repeated.
How To Complete All Of The Male Rancher’s Side Quests
The Male Rancher can be found south of the lake, which is located north on your map. He offers you a total of four quests:
- Deconstruction
- Trailer Delivery
- Treasures of the Ancients
- Under Construction
How To Complete The Deconstruction Side Quest
This is a one-time quest, and it’s extremely simple. All you need to do is go to the marked location and demolish the Male Rancher’s old barn.
Equip your crowbar and start dismantling the barn by removing the highlighted parts one by one. Once you report back to the Male Rancher, the quest will be complete. Completing this quest will reward you with 400 dollars. This quest cannot be repeated.
How To Complete The Trailer Delivery Side Quest
This quest is quite simple — all you need to do is head to the gas station. Once you’re there, attach the red fuel trailer to your vehicle and deliver it back to the Male Rancher. Completing this quest will reward you with 120 dollars.
How To Complete The Treasures Of The Ancients Side Quest
For this quest, you need to find three ancient treasures and return them to the Male Rancher. The Dagger is located north of the lake, inside a skeletal rib cage; the Goblet is northwest of the Gas Station, inside a chest; and the Helmet is northeast of the Hunter’s cabin, in a coffin at the end of a hidden path.
Once you’ve gathered all three treasures, bring them back to the Male Rancher for a 2,500 dollars reward. This quest can only be completed once.
How To Complete The Under Construction Side Quest
In this quest, the Male Rancher will ask you to bring him 64 wood planks. To complete this task most efficiently, avoid purchasing wood planks with money. Cut down trees on your ranch and use the table saw to turn them into wood planks.
Additionally, by purchasing a shovel and a few tree seedlings, you can plant trees next to the table saw, creating a renewable source of wood. Continuously making trips back and forth with the wood planks can cost you in gas, so it’s important to transport them in one trip.
You can buy a small trailer for 600 dollars to carry all 64 wood planks at once. Plus, this is a good excuse to purchase a small trailer. Completing this quest will reward you with 250 dollars.
How To Complete All Of The Female Rancher’s Side Quests
The Female Rancher is located southwest of the lake. To get there, follow the road north of the Gas Station, then turn right. Follow the dirt path on your left to reach her ranch. The Female Rancher will give you three side quests in total:
- Annoying Foxes
- Breakfast
- Cleaning
How To Complete The Annoying Foxes Side Quest
When you accept this quest, four foxes will spawn on the Female Rancher’s property. Your objective is to kill two of them. This quest is easy as the foxes aren’t aggressive and will run away from you. Once you kill two, speak with the Female Rancher to complete the quest. After completing the quest, the Female Rancher will reward you with 200 dollars.
Additionally, if you’re already doing the Hunter’s ‘Shooting Predators’ or ‘Hunting quests’, this quest will make your job much easier. If you take this quest and kill all the foxes, you can gather eight wild meats. Instead of turning in the quest, you can abort it and repeat it to collect wild meats continuously.
How To Complete The Breakfast Side Quest
For this quest, you need to bring six eggs and two porks to the Female Rancher. You can get the eggs from chickens and the pork by killing one of your pigs. In return, she will give you 180 dollars. Honestly, this quest is not very profitable. If you were to sell the eggs and pork at normal prices, you’d receive 62 dollars.
However, making sausages with pork and using eggs in those sausages is more profitable. If you don’t have machines to make sausages in the early stages of the game, you might consider doing this quest, but later in the game, it’s not worth the effort.
How To Complete The Cleaning Side Quest
This is a one-time quest that requires you to demolish things. You need to use a crowbar to destroy the Female Rancher’s old windmill. Then, use the crowbar again to destroy some trash in her garden. Once you complete these tasks, the quest will be finished, and you will receive 300 dollars. This quest cannot be repeated.
