Summary
- In a new mod for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, players can swap Peter Parker for John Cena.
- The new mod gives Cena his signature jean shorts, as well as his green t-shirt and hat.
- It joins several other mods from the same creator, including one that swaps Spidey for Deku and one that makes Miles Ronald McDonald.
While he may have recently turned heel, officially doing so before Grand Theft Auto 6 ever came out, in the world of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, John Cena is still a good guy. At least we think he is.

I Can’t Believe We Got A John Cena Heel Turn Before GTA 6
WWE will never be the same again now John Cena has become its biggest villain.
Over on Nexus Mods, user SpideyWRLD999 uploaded a brand-new mod that replaces Peter Parker with John Cena, complete with his signature jean shorts, AKA the Jorts, as well as his lime green t-shirt and hat combo.
You Can’t See Me
Already, the mod has proven to be a hit among the fans who’ve downloaded it, with one suggesting that the creator find a way to allow John Cena to replace Miles Morales.
Why?
So he can turn invisible, and then you literally can’t see him. In the interim, there’s a fully invisible John Cena action figure.
Over on Reddit, someone has already posted a highlight of Cena in action. Running around in his jorts, Cena makes quick work of Sandman. Adding to the highlight reel is that his partner-in-crime-fighting isn’t Miles, but instead Ronald McDonald. Yes, that Ronald.
Because, as it turns out, the mod creator has also made a Ronald McDonald mod, along with a slew of other goofy mods, including mods that added both Borderlands’ Psycho and Tiny Tina, plus other ones that added My Hero Academia’s Deku and Sackboy from Little Big Planet.
The above mods are just a sampling of what’s been done for Spider-Man 2 since its PC release. Elsewhere, someone quickly changed Peter’s face to his original model, while another creator added the Marvel Rivals suit to the game. That’s not to make mention of the mod that gives fans a fully playable Venom. Which is to say creators are cooking on Spider-Man 2, and John Cena is the latest example.
