The upcoming WWE 2K25 Dunk & Destruction DLC pack will add Abyss to the roster, finally making it possible for fans to simulate the Abyss vs. Kane dream match. WWE 2K25 DLC features some genuinely unexpected new additions that should go a long way in convincing fans to buy the season pass or pick up the individual DLC packs they’re interested in.
The first WWE 2K25 DLC pack will be released in May 2025. Dubbed the New Wave Pack, it will see Alex Shelley, Chris Sabin, Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, and an unannounced celebrity guest added to the roster. The second WWE 2K25 DLC pack, Dunk & Destruction, will be released at some point in June 2025. This DLC features three NBA stars that have yet to be revealed, former World Heavyweight Champion The Great Khali, and TNA legend Abyss.

WWE 2K25 is a fantastic, fully-featured wrestling game that marks the best entry the series has seen in years.
Abyss being featured in WWE 2K25 DLC comes as quite a shock, as the character has never appeared on WWE television. The man behind the mask, Christopher Joseph Park, currently works for WWE in a backstage capacity, and that combined with the company’s current working relationship with TNA likely opened the door to the possibility. For the uninitiated, Abyss, a masked wrestler known for his hardcore-style matches, takes clear inspiration from wrestlers like Kane and Mick Foley. Abyss had matches with Foley in TNA, but he never squared off against Kane during his career.

Kane is currently the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, and Abyss has retired from in-ring action. Considering this, it’s highly unlikely that the Abyss vs. Kane dream match will ever happen in real life. While this is disappointing, at least WWE fans can simulate what it would have been like when the WWE 2K25 Dunk & Destruction DLC pack launches in June.
Three more DLC packs are planned for WWE 2K25 after the release of Dunk & Destruction. The Fearless Pack will come in July 2025 and include ECW legend New Jack, newcomer Jordynne Grace, rising star Penta, the legendary Bull Nakano, and yet another special celebrity guest. The Attitude Era pack coming in September 2025 features D’Lo Brown, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Victoria, and Mark Henry, while November 2025’s Saturday Night’s Main Event Pack is comprised of Jesse Ventura, “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff, Tito Santana, The Junkyard Dog, and Sid Justice.
