Monster Hunter Wilds is overflowing with gameplay systems, to the point that it can be a bit overwhelming to new players. You need to get accustomed to quite a bit of resource management, such as the consumables you carry and parts that you carve off monsters, not to mention maintaining your character’s health and stamina.

Monster Hunter Wilds: How To Get Fucium

Fucium is one of the rarer materials in Monster Hunter Wilds. Here’s how to get it.

One of the currencies you should pay particular attention to is Guild Points. While zenny is used for most financial transactions, Guild Points will be used to impact the world around you and make your hunts significantly easier. Here are the best ways to gain and spend your hunting influence.

How To Earn Guild Points

The most common way you will earn Guild Points is through the completion of quests. Each time you finish a hunt, you’ll be gifted a small sum, so even if you haven’t been thinking about Guild Points during your first few hours with Wilds, it’s likely you’ve accumulated a decent amount.

Another way to add to your Point total is to interact with endemic life. As you explore Wilds’s various locales, you’ll notice many small animals that make up the ecosystem, typically birds, fish, lizards, and the like. They are too small to be hunted, but you can still capture them in exchange for a handful of Guild Points.

Finally, you can collect natural resources from deposits. Be on the lookout for question mark icons in game and on your minimap. Visiting and interacting with them will net you a few more Guild Points.

How To Spend Guild Points

Now that you have your war chest of Points, what can you spend them on? The most common service you’ll be using them on is the establishment of Pop-Up camps. These allow hunters access to their item inventory, armor, and weapons, all without having to return to a hub. Each camp will run you 25 to 75 Points to establish, depending on its location and safety rating.

Once you reach High Rank, you can use camps to advance time, which is essential if you want to hunt a monster under certain conditions. This process is very expensive, costing you hundreds of Points.

You’ll also want to visit the Support Ship in the Windward Plains hub. Here, you’ll meet Santiago, who is more than willing to part with his wares for Guild Points as opposed to zenny. His shop offerings are even customizable, so make sure you let him know what items you’re interested in before he leaves again.
