Fragpunk is a 5v5 hero shooter with 15 weapons available. Any Lancer can use any weapon in the game, and each weapon is subdivided into weapon classes. These are Shotguns, Submachine Guns, Assault Rifles, Light Machine Guns, Marksman Weapons, Sniper Rifles, and Pistols. You also have access to two melee weapons, the Dagger and Standard Striker, which will also cover below – although the differences between the two are minimal.
This tier list is based on early access to Fragpunk and goes into the nuances of each weapon, though typically across the board they are quite well-balanced.
Fragpunk Weapon Tier List
Here is every weapon in Fragpunk ranked from S to B-tier. This list takes into account damage, fire rate, and how enjoyable the guns are to use.
S-Tier
- Fever
- Resolver
- Bad Moon-S
- Vicious
- Meat Maker
- Mad Dog-S
Fever
Assault Rifle
-
The Fever assault rifle is your go-to Assault Rifle in Fragpunk. It has high headshot damage but does less damage to the body and limbs. This is an excellent weapon to learn the game with as it has consistent results and is easy to use. We’d compare it most closely to the AK in Counter-Strike. Slower rate of fire, more recoil, but higher damage and headshot damage. Ultimately, though, the choice of Assault Rifle is personal choice.

Automatic firing mode with a 522/min bullet fire rate. Deals decent damage at range. A largely versatile weapon that is useful in most scenarios in Fragpunk.
-
Resolver
-
The Resolver is an excellent heavy sniper, with maximum headshot damage and a consistent level of damage across various distances. It does have a lower fire rate than the Highlife, but as long as you hit your shots, it won’t let you down. It’s best used to hold angles on long corridors, whereas the Highlife is better for mobile sniping.

Has a fire rate of 40/min and an aim down sight time of less than half a second at 0.47. This is still much slower than the Highlife, which has an ADS speed of 0.25. The Resolver is more about holding an angle rather than quickscoping people.
-
Bad Moon-S
Marksman Rifle
-
The Bad Moon-S is the best of the two available Marksman Rifles because it has a faster fire rate and quicker ADS speed. You do get slightly reduced overall damage compared to the Bad Reputation, but Fragpunk is a fast-paced game that rewards speed. It also has an extra five-bullet capacity than the Bad Reputation.

A fire rate of 300/min with an ADS speed of 0.30 seconds. This semi-auto rifle is good at medium to long range. It might be that you’ve exhausted your options of sniper rifles in the game but still prefer to play with a gun that has a little more range. The Bad Moon-S also has a silencer, which slightly reduces the sound of the bullets.
-
Vicious
Pistol
-
The Vicious pistol is the most reliable secondary weapon in the game, with high damage – particularly for headshots. It is less forgiving than either the Cure-All or Cold Shoulder, but if you hit your shots it’s the ideal weapon to switch out to in a tight fight. This gun will one-shot enemies at close to medium-ish range. Most of all, this is a fun weapon to use. You could compare it to Counter-Strike’s Desert Eagle.

-
Meat Maker
Shotgun
-
The Meat Maker packs an absolutely devastating punch. It’s almost a guaranteed one-hit-kill at close range, with substantial headshot damage and spray damage that might hit the head even if you’re not directly aiming at it. It will often see off enemies quicker than they’re able to shoot you, providing you manage to get close enough to someone.

The Meat Maker has a fire rate of 100/min and an ADS speed of 0.20 seconds. While its reload is a lot slower than the Broom Broom you can’t overlook the Meat Maker’s fantastic damage output. It’s excellent for getting up in people’s faces with.
-
Mad Dog-S
Submachine Gun
-
The Mad Dog-S is a heavy submachine gun that packs a serious punch and fire rate. It’s our pick of the two submachine guns available in the game, although ultimately the differences are fairly small. We prefer the marginal damage increase over the other submachine gun, the Clampdown, even though the fire rate is slightly slower.

-
A-Tier
While the guns in Fragpunk are overall fairly balanced, with pros and cons to each, these weapons either fall slightly down the list because of their damage, or because they just aren’t as fun to play with. That’s metric enough to rank weapons in a shooter, surely.
- Bad Reputation
- Highlife
- Discipline
- Ghost Pepper
- My Way
- Clampdown
Bad Reputation
Marksman Rifle
-
The Bad Reputation feels like it’s a bit of an odd place – it is a one-hit kill to the head from medium range, but it has a low magazine capacity and quite a bouncy recoil. It’s a fun weapon to use though and definitely not weak by any means. Unfortunately, it just feels like a bit of a peashooter compared to the other weapons in the game – and if all the guns are balanced, you just want to use one that feels good.

Highlife
Sniper Rifle
-
The Highlife is a great light sniper that complements an agile and fast playstyle. If you’re able to land your shots, you can clean up enemies quickly with consistent headshots. It’s a close-run thing between the two sniper rifles (the Resolver and the Highlife) and it largely comes down to personal preference and the map you’re playing on.

The Highlife has a fire rate of 61/min and an ADS speed of 0.25 seconds. It feels a bit quicker to get back into the action with the Highlife than the Resolver, though both are bolt-action rifles and need to be reloaded between each shot.
-
Discipline
Assault Rifle
-
The Discipline Assault Rifle is the slightly lighter, faster assault rifle of the two available in the game. It has a higher fire rate but lower overall damage than the Fever. It does deal significantly lower damage to the head than the Fever, which is why it falls lower on the tier list. There are so many headshot modifying Shard Cards that dealing extra damage to the head can become extra important.

Ghost Pepper
Light Machine Gun
-
Both Light Machine Guns are in A-tier, but they are still very viable weapons, if a little more situational than the Assault Rifles. They excel at killing multiple enemies at the same time and are more forgiving with your shots, simply because you have more bullets to fire. The Ghost Pepper has a larger magazine than the My Way and a spool-up time for its maximum fire rate.

The Ghost Pepper has a fire rate of 600-800/min and an ADS time of 0.29 seconds. We’ve had a couple of occassions where we’ve managed to clean up two or three players in a single magazine, although the lengthy reload time means you better kill the enemies before they have the opportunity to fight back.
-
My Way
Light Machine Gun
-
It’s difficult to properly establish any key differences between the two light machine guns in the game, but the key one is that the My Way is essentially the lighter version of the Ghost Pepper. It has a slower overall fire rate and a smaller magazine, but it will fire more quickly, immediately – ideal for those tight one-on-one encounters around corners. It has slightly lower damage overall than the Ghost Pepper, but the breakpoints are negligible.

Clampdown
Submachine Gun
-
The Clampdown is a decent weapon, of course, but its low magazine capacity and bouncy recoil mean that is only useful in very close-quarters fights. There are plenty of these types of fights in Fragpunk, but the weapon lacks the medium-range versatility to be higher up the tier list. In a close-range fight where you fire first, though, the Clampdown is very useful.

The Clampdown has a fire rate of 1091/min and an ADS speed of 0.20 seconds. With certain Lancers or playstyles, the Clampdown is great fun – especially for those Lancers who are able to close space with mobility abilities.
-
Boom Broom
Shotgun
-
The Boom Broom is a fun weapon, but we just prefer hitting people with the Meat Maker instead. The damage you get from the auto shotgun is still decent, but you won’t be killing anyone with a single shot like you do with the MM. What you do get, however, is a much more forgiving weapon that won’t punish you as hard for missing your shots as you can quickly take another…and another.

The Boom Broom has a fire rate of 222/min and an ADS time of 0.18 seconds. The Boom Broom is still a viable shotgun, and works particularly well with Lancers that like to get up close and personal, like Corona or Zephyr.
-
B-Tier
The B-tier of this list is just made up of the two other secondary weapons, the Cold Shoulder and Cure All. These feel significantly weaker than the Vicious secondary. Even if you’re not comfortable hitting your shots with the Vicious, we still recommend using it – those one-shot headshots are very satisfying.
Cold Shoulder
Secondary Weapon
-
The Cold Shoulder is an automatic pistol which you select as secondary weapon. It has a small magazine capacity and low damage, but it is automatic and therefore more forgiving than either the Cure All or Vicious sidearms.

Cure All
Secondary Weapon
-
We’re just not sure why you’d pick the Cure All over the Vicious for your choice of secondary weapon. It has lower damage and feels weak compared to the heavy-hitting Vicious. With headshot damage of 70 within 20 minutes, it’s basically half the damage of its pistol counterpart. You do get a large mag size which means the gun is more unforgiving, but it still pales in comparison even with the extra bullets. That being said, its hipfire ability is pretty neat: it fires three bullets from the hip. However, it’s still not a one-shot kill like the Vicious.

Both weapons have negligible differences in terms of stats, but overall what you have to consider is that the Standard Striker does more damage but swings slower. Again, this will largely come down to your personal preference rather than one being much better than the other.
Both the Blitzer and the Standard Striker are a one-hit kill when you backstab an enemy player.
How Weapons Work In Fragpunk
All weapons in Fragpunk are available for free, and you can choose any weapon at the beginning of the game. However, you can only use a weapon twice before you can no longer use it again. That means that after you die, the weapon is no longer accessible from the menu.
However, you can pick up weapons from the ground during a round. The weapon will be retained between rounds. Keep an eye out for your favorite weapons on the floor.
Weapon Cosmetics And Unlocks
Each weapon can be customized with unique skins, either earned via cosmetic purchases or by playing the game using the gun. Each gun has a unlock path with 12 levels on it, with the final level being a Diamond skin.
There are also stickers and gun charms that can be attached to the weapon in the weapon appearance menu.
