PlayStation tends to reserve personalized DualSense controllers for its biggest exclusives – don’t even think about bringing up the Concord one – and finally, The Last Of Us has joined that exclusive club. PlayStation revealed its The Last Of Us controller this week, confirming you will be able to place pre-orders for the next DualSense design starting from March 14, 2025.
Shown off for the first time via a PlayStation Blog post, The Last Of Us Limited Edition DualSense is mostly black on the front and back, with the bottom third where the thumbsticks and home button are being white. The shoulder buttons are also white, as are some of the logos and emblems on the front – of which there are a lot – and the name of the series on the back.

What makes it more than a black and white DualSense with The Last Of Us printed on the back is those aforementioned emblems and logos. The biggest three, and the only ones in white, are a moth, a wolf, and the Fireflies logo. Everything else featured on the controller is embossed on it in a shiny black across the touchpad and the handles with various weapons and items you’ll find in the game among them along with a tiny Naughty Dog logo.

Perfect For Playing The Original Game, And The Sequel, And The First Game’s Remake, And The Sequel’s Remaster
Reactions to PlayStation’s The Last Of Us DualSense appear to be pretty mixed. Some are celebrating its addition and will be pre-ordering it as soon as it goes live, whereas others – particularly those who frequent the r/thelastofuspart2 subreddit – not so much. “Low effort” is the term I’m seeing thrown around with many claiming they could have designed it themselves using TLOU stickers.
If you fall into the initial camp and you’re a big fan of PlayStation’s next DualSense design, pre-orders for it will begin exclusively at PlayStation Direct on March 14, 2025. The controller will cost $84.99, so more than a standard DualSense, but in keeping with what some of the limited edition controllers have cost.
The flow of DualSense options tied to particular series and games was slow to begin with but has picked up the pace over the past year. Astro Bot has a controller modeled after the one he uses to fly around, and Helldivers 2 got a DualSense alongside its big new update at the end of 2024. Monster Hunter Wilds also has its own DualSense, but unfortunately, it’s exclusively available in Japan.
