Summary
- Pokemon will be doubling the number of plushes in its Sweet Support range next week.
- The plushes come in pairs that are attached by a drawstring so they come back together when pulled apart.
- The new quartet includes a Cubone and Marowak pair along with three other designs.
There are a lot of Pokemon plushes out there and most of them are adorable – that’s kind of the point. However, the Sweet Support line revealed in 2024 might be the most adorable Pokemon plushes to date. A little more than a year later, Pokemon’s heartbreaking plush range is about to double in size.
The first wave of Sweet Support plushes were reserved for Pokemon and their pre-evolved baby versions. Pikachu and Pichu, Sudowoodo and Bonsly, Jigglypuff and Igglybuff, and Marill with Azurill. Each pair is connected by a drawstring that slowly brings them back to their original hugging position after they’ve been pulled apart.
The smaller Pokemon in each pair has been designed to look like they’re crying after being pulled away from their larger Poké partner. Like I said, heartbreaking.
Pokemon has revealed four more pairs that will be available via Japan’s Pokemon Center from March 15, 2025 (thanks, PokeJungle), with the collection being opened up to Pokemon that haven’t evolved from a baby Pokemon. Clefairy and Cleffa still fit that description, but starting next week, Cubone and Marowak, Sentret and Furret, and Swablu and Altaria will also have Sweet Support plushes.
Pokemon’s Sweet Support Family Is About To Double In Size
Someone Comfort That Crying Cleffa, For Goodness Sake
Of the four reveals, it feels like Cubone and Marowak’s plush pair is going to be the one that’s the hardest to find. A Sleeping Cubone plush quickly became one of Pokemon’s most popular shortly after its reveal in 2023. That plush was also a heartbreaker with a single tear embroidered into the corner of Cubone’s eye. Crying yet again, at least the Sweet Support Cubone has the arms of a Marowak to run into.
As is almost always the case with Pokemon plushes, the new Sweet Support range will be exclusively available in Japan to begin with. However, it didn’t take long for The Pokemon Company to make the original four designs available in the US and elsewhere around the world. Hopefully, the new four plushes will be here soon. When they are, they will likely cost $29.99 each like the original quartet, all of which are still in stock at the Pokemon Center.

Igglybuff & Jigglypuff Pokemon Sweet Support Plush
Jigglypuff has been paired with Igglybuff for Pokemon’s Sweet Support plush collection. The Pokemon pairs are connected by a cord that retracts after being pulled, reuniting the upset baby Pokemon with its evolved support equivalent.
-
Pichu & Pikachu Pokemon Sweet Support Plush
Pikachu and Pichu are a part of Pokemon’s Sweet Support plush page. The Pokemon are connected by a cord you can pull to separate them, but when left to their own devices, that cord will retract, bringing Pikachu and its baby version together again.
It’s a little surprising not to see a little Eevee paired up with one or more of its bigger evolved forms joining the Sweet Support collection. Pokemon has dubbed 2025 the Year Of Eevee and not just because the first TCG expansion of the year is the Eeveeluton-themed Prismatic Evolutions. It began the year by restocking almost all of its Eevee and Eeveelution doll plushes.
