A talented Pokemon fan creates dragon-inspired versions of Eevee and all of its eight official Eeveelutions, coming up with a charming result.

Now PaleSyllabub1592 is at it again, demonstrating their recent creation of a Cubone rug. The rug is based off of a classic piece of Cubone concept art, with the Pokemon looking to its right and clutching its bone club. Despite the fact that PaleSyllabub1592 says they’ve only been making rugs for a year, the work is extremely impressive for its accuracy to the original design as well as the intricate shading the artist has put into it. A closer look reveals how soft and fuzzy the Cubone rug looks, but from a distance, it just looks like a vivid illustration. The rug measures 93×73 centimeters, and the last image in the gallery demonstrates just how sizable it is, posed next to the artist.

Pokemon Fans Celebrate Cubone Fan Work

Plenty of community members have shared praise for the work. Several fans shared suggestions for fellow Pokemon that the artist could potentially make, including Stunfisk, Alolan Marowak, Eevee, Psyduck, and Snorlax. PaleSyllabub1592 noted that they’ve actually made a Snorlax rug before, but wouldn’t be opposed to doing so again. For the others, the artist shared that they do sell their rugs, and are open to taking commissions for specific critters and characters that fans may want. Several of their designs are currently up for sale in their Etsy shop.

There’s seemingly no limit to the creativity that talented artists can bring to the Pokemon community. After nearly three decades, it may not come as a surprise that the series has earned fans of all kinds of skillsets and experience levels. Pokemon seems to be near and dear to many artists’ hearts, and likely inspired some of them to begin drawing, painting, 3D animating, or creating in some form, so it only makes sense to give back by creating charming art celebrating a favorite Pokemon.
