Loki’s devil fruit has already been revealed by Oda. The true extent of his power is yet to be seen however.
Even now, Loki is still not fully free, but the previous chapter of the story saw to it that Loki was mostly free, with only one of his legs tied with a seastone cuff. Yet, with One Piece chapter 1142, Ods has given fans a short glimpse of what Loki is all about and how much damage he can do in battle. Needless to say, Loki is a true monster who is hard to contain for even the mightiest in the world of One Piece.
Loki’s Freedom From Chains
- Loki Was Freed By Luffy
- A Seastone Cuff Was Left On His Leg
One Piece chapter 1141 saw Loki finally being freed and it was a development that fans had been waiting months for. Loki is a monster and someone who might even go on to have the power of the Sun God, at least that’s what he claims. Of course, fans know that Luffy is the Sun God in One Piece, but Loki’s claims are interesting nonetheless. One Piece chapter 1141 gave the fans a glimpse of Loki’s colossal stature, but only after Luffy and Zoro bickered over whether to free him or not. Luffy wanted Loki freed at all costs, while Zoro wasn’t sure if that was going to be the right approach to take. In the end, only the captain could’ve gotten what he wanted and Zoro agreed to free Loki. However, Zoro had his own condition and that was to leave one of his feet locked in the seastone chain. Despite that, however, Loki stood up, towering over everyone around him, and gave the fans a true glimpse of his immense size.
I am the Sun God who will destroy the world! — Loki
In One Piece chapter 1142, Oda took things one step further by having Loki tower over even Hajrudin. Of course, this makes perfect sense based on the fact that Loki has Ancient Giant blood in his veins and he’s bound to be a monstrously powerful and massive character.
Of course, what fans were waiting for the most was to get a glimpse of Loki’s immense strength, since Oda has been building towards it slowly from the very beginning of the arc. There is no character in Elbaf that’s been hyped as much as Loki, and that certainly is very important to note.
How Loki Burned A Part Of Elbaf With Ragnir
Loki Finally Unleashed The Power Of Ragnir
In One Piece chapter 1142, Loki finally gave fans a glimpse of his powers. However, it was not his Devil Fruit ability. This should be obvious to the fans, since one of Loki’s feet is still covered by Sea prism stone chains, which simply means that he cannot access his ability at this point in time. Loki desperately wants the chain to be removed and in his mind, threatening Elbaf itself is the way to go. According to Loki, despite being chained, he still holds immense power and can destroy Elbaf as he is. Of course, this comes from his weapon Ragnir, which he is still in possession of.
I can still destroy Elbaf in my current state. If I hit something, it’s gonna come down, you know! — Loki
In One Piece chapter 1142, Loki grabbed Ragnir with both hands and swung the weapon at the Adam Tree. The swing was ferocious and the attack was so powerful that the entirety of Elbaf rung. What’s more, the hammer was seen producing lightning of its own, and once it struck the Adam Tree, the sky on top of the country changed. This was quite a surprise to the fans since they didn’t expect this. But, soon after, a lightning bolt struck Elbaf and caused collateral damage. A part of the Sun World caught fire in One Piece chapter 1142, and the lightning blast tore through the Sun World, all the way down to the Underworld below.
It most likely struck the part of the Adam Tree that Loki hit with his hammer. The lightning itself wasn’t that surprising. After all, fans already knew that Loki would be a user of a lightning hammer. It is the scale of the lightning that he can produce with his hammer that shocks fans.

Elbaf has many legendary beasts. Oda unveils them in One Piece.
To put it simply, the lightning blast that Loki delivered in the chapter was so massive that it burned a big part of the Sun World, and was seen covering a third of the entirety of Elbaf. Knowing that Elbaf has a giant country and thus much bigger than any other, this is a massive feat and goes to show that Loki can wipe out islands with each. By using his hammer, Ragnir, Loki can cause all sorts of issues and even start massive fires. Undoubtedly, Loki’s powers are special indeed, and fans must remember that this is only a small glimpse of what he’s capable of. Loki is much stronger than any fan can even imagine and is definitely a worthy opponent for Luffy.
How Strong Is Loki At His Best?
Loki Is A Total Monster At His Best
In One Piece chapter 1142, Oda gave fans a glimpse of what Loki is capable of. But, it must be remembered that Loki’s strength fat exceeds what they just saw. For one, Loki is still chained with Sea prism stone. Sea Prism stone is known to be strong enough to weaken Devil Fruit users tremendously. In most cases, the user can’t even get up. However, in the case of Loki, not only can he stand but he can also use his massive weapon, Ragnir, which he can use freely. One Piece 1142 gave fans a glimpse of the power of Ragnir, as Loki struck a tree and burned down a sizable portion of Elbaf.
While this is enough in itself, fans should also remember that Loki has heavy injuries right now. Shamrock gave deadly blows to him which he expected would be grave enough to kill him. Loki himself admitted that taking damage from Shamrock’s Cerberus was going to be dangerous. Yet, after taking all that damage, Loki still had enough strength to get up and strike the Adam Tree. If he were healthy, Loki would effortlessly destroy the country and possibly even overpower the likes of Luffy, Sanji and Zoro.
One Piece is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and the Manga Plus apps. The release date for the next chapter of One Piece, One Piece 1141, is set to be March 2, 2025.
