The March 7 update added Donkey Kong and Mario’s Picross to the Nintendo Switch Online catalog. Released in 1994, Donkey Kong begins with the premise of the game, released for arcades in 1981, putting players in the role of Mario and giving them the mission of rescuing Pauline, the plumber’s friend who has been kidnapped by Donkey Kong and taken to a construction site. Mario’s Picross was released in 1995 and became a popular Mario game that wasn’t made by Nintendo. In it, players face a series of challenges in the form of number puzzles known as nonograms. Game Boy Lives Through Nintendo Switch Online Releases
In addition to Donkey Kong and Mario’s Picross, the Nintendo Switch Online has other equally well-known Game Boy titles. One of them is the classic Castlevania Legends, a 1997 game that tells a story set before the previous games and shows the origin of Dracula, and the beginning of the feud with the Belmont family. Subscribers who are fans of the Mega Man series of games can play Mega Man 2 to 5, while lovers of the Kirby franchise can play both Kirby’s Dream Land games. The subscription service also includes a variety of Donkey Kong games and Nintendo mascot games such as Super Mario Land 2–6 Golden Coins.

This isn’t the only perk recently made available to subscribers, who can also listen to music from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and the complete soundtrack from StreetPass Mii Plaza 3DS.
