Each enemy has a chance to drop a rune, and there are both regular and Lesser Runes, the latter giving minor stat increases, unlike the former.
There are also Great Runes, which are tied to certain enemies. For example, to get the Wolf Rune, you must defeat wolves. While most Runes are obtained through combat, there are a few alternative methods to acquire them:
- Purchase from Father Matthias NPC.
- Receive from Ancient Demon in exchange for Demon Hearts.
- Complete Player Bounties for Lysander.
These alternative methods provide a way to obtain Runes without relying solely on combat. How To Use Runes
Once you have collected Runes, you can socket them into your weapons and armor. To do this, visit the Blacksmith in Wayrshire. Interact with the Blacksmith NPC to open the menu. Here, you must select the gear where you want to place the Rune and then choose the Rune itself. The price of this service is 20 Silver per Rune.
Keep in mind that once a Rune is socketed, it cannot be removed or replaced, so choose wisely.
