WWE wrestlers can pick up a victory in a variety of ways, depending on the match stipulation, but none are as explosive and memorable as leaving the wrestling ring completely destroyed and unusable. Thankfully for WWE 2K25 players, you can make this very rare phenomenon a regular part of your wrestling sim experience.
Many long-time fans of professional wrestling will remember iconic moments where the WWE ring was demolished at the hands of two particularly large athletes, such as when The Big Show was superplexed on the canvas to end SmackDown! in the 2000s. Players will be able to conjure up their own version of this, provided they know how to break the ring in WWE 2K25.

How to Break the Ring in WWE 2K25
Breaking a WWE ring is one of the toughest physical challenges a member of the stacked WWE 2K25 roster can overcome, as it requires not only getting one of the heaviest men in the locker room to the top rope, but also throwing them from it. To break the ring, players will need to get a very heavy superstar to the top turnbuckle and suplex them onto the canvas. While this sounds relatively straightforward in theory, players will need to fulfill two prerequisites if they want any chance of successfully destroying their workspace. To break the ring, you will need:
- A Super Heavyweight, who will be the victim of the maneuver, and;
- A Heavyweight that is capable of lifting a Super Heavyweight and has the Superplex assigned to their move set.
Note that, since this is a match-ending sequence, it won’t be available to perform at the very start. To trigger a ring breakage, you’ll first need to inflict damage to your opponent’s body. The safest bet is to cause enough damage to your fellow wrestler that their torso will show orange on the damage indicator in the corner.
This will likely also apply to some of the wrestlers included in WWE 2K25‘s DLCs, such as The Great Khali.
Who Can Break The Ring in WWE 2K25?
To break a reinforced ring, players are going to have to drop a serious amount of weight onto the canvas, which means, at the very least, you are going to need to Superplex a wrestler classified as a Super Heavyweight. With that said, this may not work on all Super Heavyweights, such as The Undertaker, so it’s best to aim for those who are really tipping the scales. Primarily, ring breakages will be triggered according to the weight of the wrestlers, not necessarily the class, but it just so happens that Heavyweights and below aren’t heavy enough to cause that much damage.
Below are the safest options when it comes to destroying the ring:
- Andre the Giant
- Braun Strowman
- Bronson Reed
- Ivar
- Otis
- Rikishi
- Umaga
- Vader
- Yokozuna
While you’ll certainly need a Super Heavyweight to break the ring, you won’t get very far unless you have an opponent capable of lifting the big guy. Unfortunately, you won’t find the likes of Rey Mysterio or Akira Tozawa throwing Andre The Giant over their heads. Players will need someone strong enough to perform the move, which will generally be a Heavyweight. There are a plethora of options players can choose from, but these are some of the more notable candidates for this move.

WWE 2K25 has the biggest roster the developers have ever assembled, so there is no shortage of capable superstars that can help you create this memorable finish to a match.
What Happens When You Break the Ring in WWE 2K25?
As you might have seen in the real WWE, breaking the ring has been used as an incredibly explosive way to end an episode, and is generally a display of just how enormous the two combatants in the ring are. If you break the ring in WWE 2K25, the superstar who initiated the superplex will win by KO. With this in mind, you should only attempt this manuever if you have completed any in-match objectives and are ready to get your hand raised as the winner.
This match result will remain the same, even if you have turned KO victories off in the settings. The reason for this is that the ring is now destroyed, so you won’t be able to wrestle on it any longer.
