How to Create a Family Recipe in The Sims 4
While many would think that Family Recipes could only be created and passed down by an older Sim, that is not the case; as long as Sims are able to practice the Cooking Skill, they can come up with a Family Recipe.
To create a Family Recipe in The Sims 4, players must interact with a refrigerator or oven, enter the Family Recipes menu, and select “Create a Family Recipe”. Players have to select a base recipe, a secret ingredient, and a Special Touch. Then, once done, they must name it and confirm. This will create a unique recipe with a meal effect that will positively affect whoever consumes it.
Once a Family Recipe has been created, Sims can teach it to another member of the household. Unfortunately, this means that they cannot pass down Family Recipes to any other family members unless they’re added to the household.
