Summary

  • Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will release a new update, Nightmares & Visions, on March 25.
  • The update will introduce a new game activity called Mortis Trials.
  • Developer Fatshark will also add a time-limited event, implement changes to Havoc mode, and revamp the Ogryn talent tree in this update.

Developer Fatshark has some big news for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide players, as the game will receive the Nightmares & Visions free update on March 25, introducing a new game mode. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide players should also expect a time-limited event in this major update, along with a refreshed Havoc mode and more.

Like other entries in the Warhammer 40K franchise, Darktide offers a chaotic co-op first-person experience where players battle huge waves of enemies using melee and ranged weapons. Although Fatshark has released patches primarily to address technical issues the game had at launch, Darktide has been criticized in the past for its lack of updates and new content. In 2024, the studio assured players it would expand the experience through four main updates, and it is now fulfilling that promise.
