Which Two Point Title Is Your Favorite Concept So Far?

From its announcement, Two Point Hospital struck an immediate chord with me because I’ve always loved Theme Hospital.

However, the upcoming Two Point Museum may become my favorite in the series yet. I’m an enormous fan of real-life museums and can spend hours on end in them, so I’m sure I’ll just do the same in the game.

There are plenty of things to keep a museum curator busy, such as hiring staff and setting up decor and exhibits. There are very few mistakes that can’t be corrected, but once they get started, grow, and evolve, they can wreck an aspiring curator’s career.

Hiring Too Many Staff

This Is A Great Way To Lose Money

  • Staff salaries and training are a huge expense.

A common mistake new players make is hiring too many museum staff too soon. It’s better to focus on exploring the map, discovering new dig sites, and bringing new exhibitions back to the museum before hiring a whole crew of janitors and cashiers.

The first employees players should hire in their role as Curator should be one or two Experts, who can do a few early digs on their own and bring home a few humble exhibitions to get started. Combine these with the right blend of crowd control and Donation Stands to generate the revenue needed to hire Cashiers, Janitors, and Security Guards, who will also be sent on Expeditions later.

Training Staff In The Wrong Skills

A Cashier Can’t Fight A Fire With Customer Service

  • Hiring an oversized team isn’t enough.

Some problems are worse than others, and a disgruntled customer isn’t pleasant, but it’s still better than an exhibit, piece of furniture, or room feature burning down. Fires are just one serious and sudden issue that can derail an otherwise productive session.

Two Point Campus: 9 Fun Things To Do In Sandbox Mode

Players can let their creativity run wild in Two Point Campus’ Sandbox Mode. Here’s everything players should consider trying.

Should a fire break out, and there’s no staff with fire-fighting training available, and the player is unable to hire someone with the skill already, all they can do is watch the asset burn. Other than emergencies, there are also issues like cleaning the bathrooms, serving coffee, and emptying the Donation Stands, all of which should be performed by the right staff member with the right skill set.

Not Training Staff At All

Expeditions And Skills Will Remain Locked

  • Staff members must evolve along with the Curator.

Staff members will level up—one of the RPG elements present in the Two Point franchise—and when they do, the Curator can train them in additional skills. Certain staff members, such as Experts and Security Guards, can be hired with some skills in place already, while others will have none.

If a staff member doesn’t have any skills, they can still do basic tasks like collecting tickets, emptying garbage bins, and serving coffee. However, for those who are playing in Campaign mode, there are certain goals that the Curator won’t be able to reach if their staff never learns any specialized training past what they have at the moment of hire.

Skipping “Non-Essentials” Like Decorations And Barriers

Guests Need Guidance

  • Don’t skip on these minor but essential features.

The important factors in running a successful museum depend on the amount of Knowledge and Buzz generated by each exhibit. This refers to the public perception of the exhibits, workers, and the museum in general, and the more popular they are, the better the Buzz.

Two Point Museum: How To Make Money Fast

Two Point Museum players can use a number of strategies to create a very successful chain of businesses.

Curators can get a better Buzz return from guests by using decorations, and that can include a lot more than just a potted plant or a lush fern. Details like wallpaper, decorative tiles, and stencils can also help an otherwise dull room generate some Buzz, even without an exhibit, so it’s preferable to install them early and often.

3

Don’t Forget Snacks

Everyone Needs Refreshments

  • Improve the comfort and paying power of guests with refreshments.

Learning is hungry and thirsty work, and the snacks in the Staff Room are only for employees, so guests will need other sources of nourishment. They tend to leave the museum if they get hungry or thirsty and can’t find anything within, so it’s important to get some vending machines up as soon as possible.

Guests who leave early spend less money overall when it comes to the gift shop and Donation Stands, and food outlets are one way to keep them around. Related decor, such as benches and chairs that give tired guests a place to relax, are also helpful.

2

Not Enough Zooming In

Don’t Miss The Various Easter Eggs

  • Unlike some other sims, this one has some detailed and funny actions.

Too many simulation games only have the simplest of NPCs as filler, with not much in the way of individual designs. Players who zoom in once in a while in Two Point Museum are in for a treat, with the various NPCs acting out their workday or museum visit, and the humorous details on some of the exhibits.

Two Point Museum: How To Complete Exhibits

Exhibits are essential to a successful museum. In Two Point Museum, players will need to know how to complete them in order to be successful.

Bored employees who don’t have enough to do might relax with some conversation or take a few selfies, and guests admire the Sharpontop Skeleton, which has a hammer-shaped bone on the end of its tail. For those Curators who are working on the haunted hotel, Wailon Lodge, there’s an animatronic exhibit that looks like something that could have come from Five Nights at Freddy’s

.

1

Unlocking The Map

Access More And Better Expeditions

  • More and better dig sites mean more and better exhibits.

In another RPG-like activity, Curators are also responsible for organizing and planning Expeditions to retrieve new and more exciting exhibits for their museum. Start this process by clicking on the helicopter and choosing a location, which then prompts the selection of a small team to retrieve the goods.

Early trips into the wild are easier, requiring few people with simple skills, but players need to open more of the map and unlock further locations. This is even more important for those players who are progressing through the Campaign and have to begin a specific Expedition before they can move forward.
