Legendary Pokemon continue to get amazing printings in Pokemon TCG Pocket. While some have the most power as Pokemon ex, others offer single-point versions of themselves with unique effects. Every set brings even more legendary Pokemon to battle and some have cemented themselves into the meta.

Pokemon Pocket: The Rarest Cards In Triumphant Light
Which cards should you keep an eye out for in Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Triumphant Light.
So which legendaries have the best representation in Pokemon TCG Pocket? Some are a surefire hit due to being leads in their respective decks. Meanwhile, others manage to climb to the top with fantastic art. When you stack them all together there are some that stand tall while others are simply there for you to catch them all.
12
Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf
A Trio At War With Itself
Like the legendary birds, these Pokemon come as a trio. The difference is that they all need to synergize off of each other. At least in theory, they do. The biggest downside is that all these Pokemon want to be in the Active Spot at the same time.
Uxie can’t generate Energy unless it attacks, Azelf just hits the Bench, and Mesprit can only do 160 damage if it has the other two backing it up. It also loses all the Energy it has when it attacks, so you can’t even over-stack your Energy.
11
Giratina
Visually Cool But Lacking
Giratina is one of Sinnoh’s coolest legendaries. Yet the cards themselves leave plenty to be desired. On one hand, you have a moderate amount of damage for three Energy and free Retreats.

These are the best Psychic-type cards for your deck from Triumphant Light.
Giratina from Triumphant Light, on the other hand, seems unplayable as is. You need both Grass and Psychic Energy to make it work, while the Move discards two Energy each time it attacks. At least the art rare for Space-Time Smackdown is gorgeous.
10
Heatran
An Aggressive Legendary
Heatran has a good selection of cards, and they are both heavy hitters. The Steel-type from Space-Time Smackdown can hit for 110 while doing 20 damage to itself, while the Fire-type from Triumphant Light can do 80 for two Energy if it has any damage on it.
Overall, Heatran is a pretty aggressive legendary with most of its cards focused on dishing out heavy damage. The original Heatran even has a rare art variant to spice things up.
9
Mewtwo
When Powercreep Strikes
Unfortunately, Mewtwo is not as potent as it once was at the start of Pokemon TCG Pocket. It can still dish out a walloping, but other decks just do it faster. On the bright side, it still has one of the coolest immersive arts out of all the legendary Pokemon.

This immersive art depicts the events of the game where Mewtwo escapes. This is the Genetic Apex that the set’s name refers to.
8
Arceus
Tied To A Specific Strategy
Yes, Arceus has some amazing rarities and even has two versions of itself to help Arceus Link Abilities work. However, at the end of the day, other legendary Pokemon just do more.
Arceus is a Colorless beatstick in both of its printings. While Ultimate Force can do some heavy damage, it is reliant on your opponent’s Bench being full to reach its limit. It also has specific cards it wants to be combined with.
7
Cresselia
Healing Has A Limit
Cresselia isn’t the most powerful pokemon to be represented in Pokemon TCG Pocket. The most notable of the two printings is the promotional Cresselia ex. This is because it can heal itself for 20 HP each time you attach Energy to it.

Pokemon Pocket: The Best Cards In Triumphant Light
Arceus descends in Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Triumphant Light.
This can make Cresselia a sponge, but after three Energy and other Pokemon to set up, why would you ever attach more Energy to it? Design-wise, it is the opposite of Darkrai ex, which is neat.
6
Darkrai
A Sinister Legendary
While one Darkrai focuses on stunning your opponent by putting them to Sleep, Darkrai ex can dish out damage from the safety of the Bench. This can help you get Pokemon out of the way early by getting as much damage done as possible.
Darkrai has some of the best cards that elevate the Darkness-type into a more usable deck. It even has some haunting art rares to chase after.
5
Articuno, Zapdos, And Moltres
The Most Useful Trio
As a trio, the legendary birds all do different things. This includes generating more Energy, flipping coins for massive damage, or hitting every spot on your opponent’s side of the field. Every bird even has a non-ex variant.

As long as Arceus is in play, all these Pokemon TCG Pocket cards get powerful abilities.
Everything about this trio hits hard. Their Moves, rarities, and variety make them great cards to pull. The ex variants also work as leads in decks consisting of only the selected bird and 18 Trainer cards.
4
Celebi
A Legendary With One Amazing Card
Celebi may only exist as an ex card, but it has one of the best coin flip Moves of all time. Starting at two Energy, Powerful Bloom lets you start flipping coins and do 50 damage for each heads.
This gets incredibly powerful really fast. In fact, it is faster and deadlier than almost every other Legendary, which at least needs a bit more setup before they can start closing games. With enough Energy, flipping tails a few times won’t matter.
3
Mew
A Flexible Legendary
Mew is Pokemon number 151 in the original games. While the smaller Mew’s immersive art is a neat little collector’s piece, the competitive Mew to chase after is Mew ex.

The Best Colorless-Type Pokemon In Triumphant Light, Ranked
Colorless cards are staples in most deck builds. What does Triumphant Light bring to the table to add to your deck? Let’s see.
Genome Hacking is an incredibly useful Move that can be used to copy some of your opponent’s most powerful attacks. This also evades most discard costs while costing three Colorless Energy. So, any deck can run it as a counter if it has the space.
2
Palkia
One Powerful Strike
While both Palkia cards can be useful, the one with the overall most use is Palkia ex. 20 damage to everything on the Bench and 150 to the Active Pokemon is a devastating combo.
While Origin Forme Palkia isn’t as devastating, it can still wallop your opponent early in the game. 60 damage can shut down many baby Basics by hitting the average HP they tend to have. Land the coin toss, and it can even shut down ex cards in one hit. Overall, a great legendary.
1
Dialga
Two Balanced Cards
The Sinnoh legendaries are cool since they don’t have non-ex versions of themselves but rather Origin Forms instead. Both cards also feel balanced, with Origin Forme Dialga being able to dish out just as much damage as Dialga ex for less Energy.
Dialga has a decent selection whether you want a single-point deck or one that utilizes ex strategies. In terms of art, strength, and usability, Dialga gets the premium treatment each time.
