Following the reveal of Update 1.6, HoYoverse has begun teasing new characters set to officially join Zenless Zone Zero with Update 1.7. This strategy isn’t anything new for HoYoverse as the studio typically begins drip-marketing future content fairly soon after fully revealing the next incoming update for Zenless Zone Zero.
This pattern has been a staple for the popular HoYoverse title, giving fans an early look at what’s coming, likely in an effort to keep players engaged and saving resources to pull on future banners. Following the launch of Astra Yao with Update 1.5, HoYoverse revealed the inclusion of Soldier-0 Anby, Trigger, and Pulchra as the three new characters coming in Update 1.6 for Zenless Zone Zero. On the heels of Update 1.6 being fully revealed, HoYoverse has started marketing its next round of agents.

Zenless Zone Zero featured banners always come with one S-Rank (5-star) and two rate-up A-Rank (4-star) characters.
After being heavily teased by dataminers over the past few months, the Mockingbird agent Vivian is finally joining the Zenless Zone Zero roster with Update 1.7. HoYoverse revealed the agent records for Vivian over social media, giving fans their first real look at the character and a bit of her background. Ahead of Vivian’s appearance inside of Zenless Zone Zero‘s Update 1.6 story, she has been confirmed to have an Anomaly specialty with the Ether Attribute. At this point, it’s unknown what her rarity will be, though most likely expect an S-Rank.
Zenless Zone Zero Reveals Vivian for Update 1.7
Vivian and her Mockingbird ally, Hugo Vlad, have started to appear more often within the game’s narrative. The duo appeared to set a future storyline in motion within Astra Yao’s Special Program event, seemingly stealing one of her prized disks and replacing it with a fake. Hugo and Vivian also appear to take a more prominent role in the Among the Forgotten Ruins story, as the Mockingbird duo can be seen in various shots of the trailer.
For now, fans have a way to go before Update 1.7 arrives, likely with a late April launch date. As the current Astranomical Moment banner reaches its end, fans will be able to finally discover the link between Anby and Soldier-11 in a new Update 1.6 story. Even though HoYoverse has already revealed the Among the Forgotten Ruins update, much of the game’s narrative content is still a mystery, with Zenless Zone Zero leaks teasing a potential Hugo Vlad miniboss battle.
