The Dragon Ball franchise is known among the anime community as being one of the pioneers of the concept of characters having signature moves that they yell out before they perform them. From the legendary Kamehameha to the powerful Special Beam Canon, almost every character in the series has multiple attacks that they consider to be their signature moves, and Vegeta is no exception to this rule.
The Prince of Saiyans has got one of the most extensive and powerful movesets in the entire series, and some of Dragon Ball’s most destructive techniques owe their creation to this legendary character. While the jury is still out on what his single signature attack is, the Galick Gun is definitely in the conversation. So, let’s go over the most powerful version of one of Vegeta’s oldest attacks.

Going back all the way to the Saiyan Saga, fans were introduced to Vegeta and his unbridled power as the Prince of the Saiyan race. While he was incredibly sadistic and maniacal, the true depths of his ruthlessness were seen in the middle of his battle with Goku, where he shot up into the sky and charged up his powerful Galick Gun attack, which would have destroyed the Earth if it had come into contact with it.
This was an amazing thing for fans to see since it was the first attack that seemed to act as a counter to Goku’s iconic Kamehameha wave, which was shown in its first-ever appearance as the two beams clashed. Cupping both of his hands by the left side of his head, Vegeta’s energy swelled dramatically and his aura became jagged and powerful, which culminated in the destructive wave that he used against Goku.

Vegeta has used this attack many times over the course of the series, with the most recent one being in the battle against Broly, where he mixed this attack with Goku’s Divine Kamehameha in an attempt to stop their opponent. While, technically, this instance led to the strongest version of the attack, it was only so due to being mixed with an equally powerful attack from an equally powerful user, leading to a new version of the beam that doesn’t really count as being the strongest Galick Gun.
With that being said, it’s clear that the current most powerful version of the Galick Gun is the one shared between Vegeta and Trunks in the Goku Black arc. For the Kamehameha, the Father-Son version that Teen Gohan used in his battle against Perfect Cell is one of the most beloved aspects of the series as a whole, so to see something similar happen for Vegeta and Trunks was one of the highlights of Dragon Ball Super.
Zamasu! Don’t underestimate the potential of Saiyans… of mortals! Take this! Galick Gun!
By taking the incredible strength of Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta and mixing it with that of Future Trunks at that point in the story, the resulting Galick Gun added their strengths together to make a version of the attack that was, by far, the strongest ever seen in the series. The truest evidence of its unyielding strength was seen in its use against Merged Zamasu.
At that point in the story, Merged Zamasu was easily the most powerful villain the heroes ever went up against. He proved to be such a dangerous threat that two Super Saiyan Blues weren’t even enough to defeat him, and he even seemed to hold his own against Super Saiyan Blue Vegito. So, he eventually sought to wipe out his opponents by using his powerful Holy Wrath attack, which was a massive ball of fiery Ki that could erase anything in front of it with ease.
However, Holy Wrath was stopped in its tracks by Vegeta and Trunks simultaneously using the Galick Gun, which both mixed to form a singular move that was far stronger than the regular version. This attack managed to puncture through Holy Wrath, dissipating it in the process. Even though Future Trunks was far weaker than Goku at this stage, the attack he used with his father was able to stop one of Zamasu’s strongest moves, cementing the Father-Son Galick Gun as the most powerful version of the attack.
