In a welcome bit of news, on Thursday, Nacon revealed that last year’s surprising Double-A hit, RoboCop: Rogue City, is getting a standalone expansion in the form of RoboCop: Rogue City — Unfinished Business. What’s more, it won’t be too long before gamers can jump back into Detroit, as the game has been given a “Summer 2025” release window.

According to the game’s Steam description, the events of Unfinished Business take place right after the events of Rogue City, with an overarching goal of reaching the top of OmniTower. At the same time, it’ll also serve as somewhat of a prequel, with players getting the chance to play as Alex Murphy pre-cybernetics.

New Enemies, New Weapons And More

When the game does launch, players will have new enemies to do battle with, as flying drones, high-tech turrets and even enemies wielding katanas will all be in your way. To take them down, Robocop will have access to a slew of new weapons, including a Cryo Cannon.

Beyond guns, though, you’ll have access to some finishing moves that sound very much like a mish-mash of Doom’s “Glory Kills” and the finishers in Sleeping Dogs. Per the description, “Unleash RoboCop’s unmatched strength to deliver devastating finishing moves – whether smashing an opponent’s skull against a concrete wall or into the nearest drinks vending machine.”

And if it wasn’t already clear based off the trailer, then Robocop will be voiced by Peter Weller. The 77-year-old actor is once again lending his voice acting chops for Robocop and Alex Murphy as he did in the base game. And yes, as was the case with the first game, there will be oodles of blood and gore. Here’s hoping Judge Dredd can also someday get the video game treatment, as this expansion definitely gives off some major 2012 Karl Urban vibes.
