One Piece chapter 1142 has excited the fans to no end, and although this chapter is clearly one that builds up towards greater combat, fans also know that at the same, it moved the plot forward in many exciting ways. With Loki almost free now and at the same time, the Monster Trio in the Underworld, there is most certainly going to be exciting combat taking place in the country of the Giants soon enough.
Meanwhile, in the Sun World, tension continues to build as the Holy Knights are finally advancing towards their goal. The plan is to kidnap the children from Elbaf and take them back to Marijoa. However, this goal will most definitely not be easy. That said, with the collective powers of the Holy Knights, it is quite clearly possible. Now, Oda has revealed the ability of another member of the Holy Knights, and it is safe to say that this power is one of the most overpowered ones in the story.

The Elbaf arc has been one of the most exciting ones in the story so far and that goes without saying. This arc has a good balance of excitement through lore and fighting, which means lots of new bits of details from history are being revealed to the fans, and at the same time, Oda is also going strong to reveal some mighty combatants. Elbaf, being the country of warriors, was always going to display some ferocious fighters to the fans, and right from the beginning, fans saw the likes of Dorry and Brogy. Later down the line, Loki was introduced to the plot, and just alongside him, fans got the Holy Knights as well.

Thanks to so many powerful characters, Oda got the chance to introduce many incredible Devil Fruit abilities in the story. For instance, Gunko showed that she had the power of the Aro Aro no M, a very overpowered Devil Fruit ability that might even somehow be utilized by Imu. Meanwhile, Shanks’s twin brother, Shamrock Figarland, showcased the power of his sword, which he calls Cerberus. This sword proved to be extremely powerful and it turned into a giant three-headed dog strong enough to damage even Loki.
With the arrival of the other Holy Knights, fans also know that they have the Kirin Devil Fruit on display, which is a divine Mythical Zoan ability. That certainly isn’t all. Elbaf has also introduced fans to some rather weaker abilities, such as the Iku Iku no Mi that belongs to the Owl Biblo and was introduced at the Owl’s Library. With the abilities of most villains now out already, it was only a matter of time before Oda went ahead and revealed the power of Saint Sommers. Finally, it seems Oda has revealed the ability to the fans and it is truly terrifying, to say the least.

With One Piece chapter 1142, Oda has introduced a majestic ability to the fans, and it is safe to say that this ability, which remains unknown at the moment, could just be the most terrifying one that fans have seen in the story so far. The entirety of One Piece chapter 1142 was about the ability of Saint Sommers, and it is clear that he’s going to be a very strong enemy for whoever takes him on in combat. The most important thing to note is the nature of the Devil Fruit ability. The first thing that fans need to remember is that this Devil Fruit power is most likely of the Paramecia type, as it can’t possibly fit into any other class.

Secondly, the ability itself is quite dangerous. Simply put, Saint Sommers’s Devil Fruit ability allows him to conjure the most feared thing of any person into reality and possibly even use it against them. In One Piece chapter 1142, Saint Sommers used the ability on the kids of Elbaf, and the results were shocking.
First of all, fans saw the World Serpent Jormungandr in the Sun World, which most certainly shouldn’t be possible.
Yet, the snake was very real. Soon after, other creatures started showing up. Fans could see a giant flying bird, and even a massive wolf from Norse mythology, known as Fenrir. As the chapter went on, fans could also see other fears being turned to life, such as Nika, the destroyer of the world, the Nidhogg, some ghosts, lightning clouds like Zeus, and even the skeleton soldier Draugr.
While the colossal creatures that the Devil Fruit produced were a monstrosity in themselves, what’s even crazier is that these aren’t illusions. They’re actually the worst fears of the children come to life, meaning they’re actually real. This was proven when Professor Kiba was forced to fight Jormungandr with his hammer, and he managed to land a decisive blow. Soon after, Saul launched a Haki-clad attack which could’ve been the difference maker. Regardless, in simple words, all the beasts are real and they definitely need to be fought if Elbaf is to be kept safe.
The Endless Possibilities With Saint Sommers’s Devil Fruit
Whoever Fights Sommers Will Have A Difficult Time
With Oda having revealed the power of Saint Sommers in One Piece chapter 1142, it is quite clear that this man is going to be quite a challenge for whoever faces him in battle. Sommers has a very dangerous ability the likes of which can force someone into a corner. It brings to life the worst fear of any person and puts them against it. That in itself is a very dangerous ability and fans know that it opens up room for an exciting face-off. Whoever faces Saint Sommers will have an incredible in front of them.
It is possible that Zoro will fight against Saint Sommers, and if that truly is the case, then his worst fear will be brought to life here, which could be something related to Kuina. Zoro could be forced to look inward and grow even further, and that is certainly exciting. Of course, it isn’t confirmed yet as to who the main challenge for Sommers is going to be, but fans are incredibly excited at seeing this power already. Undoubtedly, things are going to be very exciting moving forward in One Piece, and hopefully, all the Holy Knights get their moment to shine.
