Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – A Good Scrub Walkthrough

Once Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 players get to Kuttenberg, they can pick up many tasks and side quests in the bustling city. Players will find quests and tipsters marked on their maps, and completing them will result in a reward.

“A Good Scrub” is a longer side quest in KCD2 that features Henry helping at a local bathhouse as they try to start a business. You will have to travel all around Kuttenberg during it, so here’s a walkthrough to help.

How To Start “A Good Scrub” In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Players can start “A Good Scrub” by visiting the Kingfisher Bathhouse in the Hoprink area of Kuttenberg. One of the tipsters in the shop area may point Henry in the right direction by telling him he could find work at the bathhouse. Hoprink is in the southeast corner of Kuttenberg city.

Visit the Bathhouse in Hoprink

The Bathhouse is slightly run down, and Betty, the owner, is sweeping most of the day upstairs. To find her, pass through the walkway and go up the stairs next to a man working. Betty will be in one of the upstairs rooms.

Talk to her and ask about any work. She will tell Henry that she is trying to open up the bathhouse but is having trouble with her wagoner, Matsek. She needs Henry to go to Grund, find out where Matsek is, and pick up a package for him. “A Good Scrub” will start after Henry agrees to help her.

Pick up the Package for Betty

You’ll find Matsek outside the Grund tavern. Talk to him to figure out what is going on with the package. Matsek is jumpy, so make sure to mention Betty. Betty’s “package” is actually a wagon full of girls who are going to work at the bathhouse, and Matsek is having second thoughts about transporting them.

Henry will need to pass an easy dialogue check to get Matsek to agree to take the girls to Kuttenberg. Players can choose the following options:

• EASY: There aren’t any soldiers here. (Persuasion)
• EASY: We’re not doing anything illegal! (Impression)

When they succeed, he will agree to get the wagon ready, and Henry must tell the girls. He will find them sitting down at a table outside the tavern. Talk to the one in green named Barber Klara.

The girls will go to the cart, and Henry can hop in the back with them to ride to Kuttenberg. Players will have some raunchy conversations with them along the way before fast traveling.

Go Back to Betty’s Bathhouse

When you get back, talk to Betty about delivering the girls. However, Adam, the other bathhouse owner in Kuttenberg, will come up and harass Betty about selling her bathhouse to him.

After he leaves, she asks Henry for help spreading the word about the Kingfisher’s grand opening party. Together, they will devise a saying he can recite to get people interested in the business. Betty will give Henry hints about what sounds the best, and then give him four locations to visit.

Spread the Word About the Party

Henry needs to visit four locations and act as a crier. Go to the Grain Market, the Horse Market, and the Merchant’s Markets, and shout about the Kingfisher opening. A fourth location will be marked near the fountain and church on your map. However, be wary of talking about the bathhouse there.

When Henry announces the opening at this fourth location, a local will come up to him and scold him for spreading inappropriate business in front of the church. Players will have to pass a dialogue skill check or fist-fight him.

Choosing the following options will smooth things over:

• HARD: There’s nothing wrong with bathhouses. (Persuasion)
• EASY: Get lost before I lose my temper. (Intimidation)

After going to all the locations and announcing the opening, return to the Kingfisher and talk to Betty. You will then wait for the party to start. Once it gets going, Henry has a wild night full of drinking, dancing, and bathing. Unfortunately, you’ll be woken up abruptly by one of the workers the following day.

Clean Up the Bathhouse

The partygoers trashed the bathhouse, and the local Alderman is about to pay an early visit to make sure the bathhouse is proper. Henry must help clean up the place and get rid of the passed-out drunks lying around the room.

Hide the Bodies

Carry the four passed-out drunk men upstairs into a bedroom. Take the stairs to the second floor and drop them one by one into the first room on the right.

Pick Up the Tankards

Find all the tankards lying around the bathhouse. There are six of them, some sitting upright and others knocked over. There are three in the front room and three in the bathtub area.

Pick up the Clothes

Grab the clothing and towels strewn about. You’ll find a hat, two shirts, and a pair of hoses in the bathtub area. There’s also a towel in the front room.

Clean Up the Vomit

The last thing to do is clean up the vomit. They will find it next to the second tub from the door on the left side of the room. Hover the pointer over it and select clean to scrub it up.

After a set amount of time, the alderman will inspect the place. Don’t speak to him during his inspection, or the quest will fail. If players pick everything up, the alderman will be happy with the place, and Betty will be free to open up her bathhouse. She will reward Henry with the following at the end of the quest:

• 100 Groschen
• Positive Reputation
• Permanent discount at the Kingfisher Bathhouse.
