The Lantern in Roblox’s Rune Slayer plays an important role, especially when exploring caves or dark locations such as Greatwood Swamps or Greatwood Forest. Equipping this item will allow you to light your way, and some of them even provide certain buffs, such as increased damage or stamina.

How To Get A Lantern
You can get a Lantern by completing a quest from Ali the Farmer NPC or by crafting it from certain resources. Completing the quest is great for beginners, while crafting is more suitable for advanced players, as it requires finding certain resources and ores. Moreover, you can craft different types of Lanterns, each of which provides unique buffs.

Complete The Quest Of Ali The Farmer
If you’re a beginner, you can easily get the Lantern by helping Ali the Farmer get rid of the Mandrake Root growing in his field. To do this, head to Wayshire. There, near the main entrance to the town, you will find a farm, a large field, and a wooden hut next to it. At the entrance to the hut, you will find Ali the Farmer NPC. Talk to him to get the Mandrake Meance quest.
Now, your main goal will be to find and destroy six Mandrake Roots. If you thought that you just needed to find some plant and uproot it, you were very wrong. The Mandrake Root is a plant that you can find in the field. It is not difficult to spot it, as it looks like a small brown fruit with a green top. But the main catch is that as soon as you uproot it, it will come alive and start attacking you.
When this happens, just kill the Mandrake Root. It’s easy and will take a few hits. When you’re done, talk to Ali the Farmer again to get the reward.
Create A Lantern Yourself
If you are an advanced player who has already explored the world of Rune Slayer and replenished your inventory with resources, this method is for you. In this case, to create a Lantern, you will need to use the Crafting Bench, which you can find in Wayshire right next to the Blacksmith. How To Use a Lantern
Once you have a Lantern, you can eventually use it to light your way. To do so, you will need to equip it first. For this, open your inventory by pressing the Tab key. Next, move the Lantern to the slot labeled “Light”. Once you’ve made it, all that’s left to do is turn on the Lantern; to do this, press the H key, which is responsible for turning the Lantern on and off. Once done, you can explore dark locations and caves much faster and safer.
