The protagonist of Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki is a character who showed immense growth throughout the series. Known to be a ninja with no gifts, Naruto had to conquer his biggest weaknesses to get to where he is today. In the Fourth Great Ninja War, Naruto showed tremendous growth and reached sky-high limits. However, that wasn’t Naruto’s peak.

Naruto continued to grow throughout the war and earned many other powers over the years as well. His strength, skill, and even maturity as a ninja grew significantly after the war and eventually, he went from being the savior of the whole world to finally accomplishing his dream of becoming the Hokage of Konoha. Naruto has achieved a ton over the years, but unfortunately, a lot of his growth is hidden by the fact that the story concludes following the Fourth Great Ninja War. That said, the yellow-haired Child of Prophecy most certainly doesn’t stop growing at all.

Naruto Uzumaki has developed greatly over the years and it can be said that his achievements have been phenomenal over the years. Despite having Kurama inside him, Naruto strived for greatness even though he was shunned by many, and cast aside. With the beast wanting to take over his body, Naruto had no choice but to develop his own strength and he did just that when he developed the Rasenshuriken, and later on learned the power of the Sage Mode. To take things one step further, Naruto Uzumaki fought the Nine Tails inside himself and earned the right to claim a portion of his chakra for himself, and it absolutely cannot be denied that he accomplished all this with his own two hands, even though he had his supporters with him along the way. But, these most certainly were not the bigger power-ups of Naruto Uzumaki. Undoubtedly, Naruto’s biggest power-ups came deep into the Fourth Great Ninja War.

When Naruto helped the Tailed Beasts, fought for them, and formed a bond with them, it was then that he went on to create a lasting friendship with his own Tailed Beast, Kurama. With the two having forged a bond, Naruto could access Kurama’s power fully, without there being any restrictions to how much power he could utilize. This pushed Naruto to a completely different level. Combining this power with Sage Mode made him even stronger. However, as great as this power was, even this wasn’t enough to see Naruto reach the peak of his powers.
When Naruto Uzumaki met Hagoromo Otsutsuki, he received half of his powers, and thus attained Six Paths Powers. Naruto gained access to Six Paths Sage Mode, and this pushed him to a completely different level. It was almost as if Naruto was a God, and he could fight against the likes of Madara Uchiha, and even Kaguya Otsutsuki. This was, quite clearly, Naruto at the peak of his powers during the war, but after its conclusion, he showed even more growth, which was surprising for many.
How Naruto Continued To Grow After The Fourth Great Ninja War
Naruto Gained Further Powers
There are quite a few ways in which Naruto Uzumaki grew after the Conclusion of the war. For one, Neruro didn’t even have the full power of Kurama with him during the War. Half of it was inside Madara, later Kaguya, at first, and then it was sealed by Sasuke. Only after the defeat of Sasuke Uchiha did Naruto regain the other half of Kurama, and in other words, gain the full Tailed Beast. It must be remembered that half of Kurama was already strong enough to overpower 5 or more Tailed Beasts in the war, which means another half significantly boosted Naruto’s powers to sky-high levels.

Having lost a hand, Naruto Uzumaki received a prosthetic made of Hashirama cells, and as fans know, these cells help boost chakra as well as recovery, although, in Naruto’s case, the boost wasn’t significant at all due to him having Uzumaki blood already. But, every bit counts anyway. What’s more, with Naruto having access to all five nature transformations, and having Hashirama cells, there is a strong possibility that Naruto could even use Wood Release after the war. These were the immediate power-ups that Naruto Uzumaki gained after the Fourth Great Ninja War concluded, and oftentimes, fans don’t even realize these things. By the time of The Last: Naruto the Movie, Naruto had grown to such a level that even when he had lost the vast majority of his powers, he could tank an attack strong enough to split the moon, and beat someone as strong as Toneri Otsutsuki in a single punch.

But, there’s definitely more. In terms of Taijutsu, Naruto grew to such a level after the war that he could hold his own and even pressure Momoshiki Otsutsuki after he had already absorbed Kinshiki without even using his Six Paths Sage Mode. On top of that, Naruto could push someone like Jigen to the absolute limit, and with Baryon Mode, overwhelm even Isshiki Otsutsuki.
Boruto And The Misfortune It Brought With It
Boruto Stripped The Power Of Kurama From Him
Unfortunately, the Boruto series proved to be full of misfortune for Naruto Uzumaki. Although at the beginning of the story, Naruto Uzumaki was seen maintaining his immense powers, with time, this power was whittled away. Naruto was undermined by the writers and bit by bit, his luck got worse. Naruto suddenly didn’t have access to half the powers that he possesses for unknown reasons. To make things worse, he even lost the power of Kurama after using Baryon Mode and was left with nothing more than Sage Mode, even though he should’ve still had access to the power of other Tailed Beasts.
Naruto was met with an even worse fate when he was sealed away by none other than Kawaki after having been deemed too weak to protect himself. This was the utmost disrespect from the writers of Boruto for Naruto Uzumaki, and Kishimoto seemingly doesn’t care enough either. Naruto Uzumaki still lies inside the dimension of Daikokuten, sealed away. There are absolutely no signs of him being let out anytime soon, and fans don’t know when exactly he’ll be out, if at all. Hopefully, Naruto does go on to return and the authors make sure to mend the mistakes they made in handling his character, although based on how they’ve treated him so far, the chances of that happening are very low.
