What Can You Give Pochacco?
Pochocco’s 2-heart and 3-heart gifts all require station upgrades and leveling up other characters’ friendships. If you’re just starting out, you’ll want to give Pochocco Tofu, which is a 1-heart gift you get by giving Hello Kitty gifts. Once you unlock the Soda Machine or the Pizza Oven and upgrade them respectively, you can start giving Pochacco higher-quality gifts.
It’s recommended you unlock the Soda Machine by completing the “Dessert-ed Boat” and “Parched” quests. You’ll then want to get Pekkle to level 6. This will let you use three ingredients to make sodas instead of two ingredients.
Pochacco likes items with the Sports, Healthy, and Veggie tag. However, once you’ve collected a handful of materials from the islands, you should use them to make the Pochacco Energy Pop or the Everything Pizza. You’ll get more points than you would from giving materials (ex: Spinip) plain.

Pochacco Friendship Levels
Pochacco Companion Ability
When Pochacco reaches certain levels, you’ll unlock Companion Abilities. His Abilities are Speed Walker and Relay. These are especially useful when you need to complete Island Challenges.
- Speed Walker: Increases walking speed by 10% (Level 1), 25% (Level 2), and finally 50% (Level 3).
- Relay: If Pochocco’s with you when you attempt Island Challenges, he can help you complete them by collecting the pink tokens.
Abilities only work if you have the required character as your traveling companion.
