You Can’t Pause The Game

In Good Pizza, Great Pizza, you could pause the game by pressing the menu button. However, that’s not applicable to Good Coffee, Great Coffee. If you accept an order and try to pause the game by pressing the menu button, the customer’s happiness meter will continue to deplete, and the in-game clock will continue to run.

If you really need to pause in the middle of your game, it’s best to leave your phone open during the latte art screen. Alternatively, you can finish the whole day, let your progress auto-save, and then leave the game.

Don’t Forget To Claim Your Daily XP

To progress through the story and unlock new ingredients, you need to make sure you are leveling up. If you feel like you are progressing too slowly, you may be forgetting to claim your daily XP. Forgetting to claim your daily XP and relying solely on completing the story will make the game feel draggy, as if you’re running around in circles.

To claim your daily XP, click on your MyPad and select Daily Quests. If you have completed the quests, the Claim button will turn green. Once you start claiming these quests, you’ll be leveling up in no time!

The Game Utilizes An Energy System

Unlike Good Pizza, Great Pizza, which relies on your total amount of in-game funds to determine if you can carry on to the next day, Good Coffee, Great Coffee uses an energy system. When maxed out, you get 120 energy. To proceed to the next day, you need to use 10 energy. This means you can play 12 continuous days before waiting for your energy to replenish.

One hack is to change the date in your settings, which will trick the game into thinking it’s a new day and give you full energy.

To gain more energy, you can watch an ad and gain five more. Alternatively, you can purchase energy by spending your gems.

There’s A Trick For Symmetrical Latte Art

For the first WCA trial, you will encounter Max. For his trial, you need to master three types of latte art: the heart, the tulip, and the rosetta. During his trial, the game will have a stencil for you to follow, and you will pass his trials if Max thinks your latte art passes his standard.

However, after Max’s trial, you can start having fun with latte art! No longer are you stuck shifting between the heart, the tulip, and the rosetta. You Can Skip Latte Art Completely

You can choose to skip doing latte art if it isn’t your thing. During Max’s trial, it was vital you did latte art on your orders, as it would show him how much you had learned. But once it’s over, you can skip the process altogether.

The game will still bring you to the latte art stage after adding steamed milk to your cup of espresso. To skip doing latte art, simply press the bell at the top right and hand over the mug to your customer. The customer doesn’t mention anything about your lack of latte art and will still tip you for their order (if done correctly, of course).

The Order Of Ingredients Rarely Matters

When looking at your recipe book, you will find that it dictates the proper way to make an order. For iced or tall drinks, portions of water or milk are vital in creating the perfect drink. However, it is difficult to gauge, especially since you often need to add a shot of espresso at the top to create the perfect iced latte or iced Americano.

While the recipe states milk or water goes first and the espresso is added to the top, you don’t actually need to follow that rule. Instead, you can add the espresso first and fill the cup with whatever liquid the order requires after. This ensures the proportions are correct and will have your customer leaving happy.

The Ingredient Proportions Matter

While the order of the ingredients doesn’t matter, the proportions most definitely do. Adding too much milk or too much water to a customer’s coffee order can cause them to be unhappy and request a refund. Because of that, you need to keep a close eye on what you put in your cup.

If you don’t want to buy the cups with guided lines, try counting out loud how many pumps of syrup you are adding to a drink. You can also do this when pouring milk into a tall cup.

To combat this, you can upgrade your cups to have guided lines, which will help you measure more accurately. Another thing to note is that when customers ask for iced drinks, that means two scoops of ice; not one scoop, not three scoops, always two scoops of ice.

Both the grinder and the coffee machine can break after a few days of use, which will affect how your customers react to their coffee order.

If you level up the basic coffee machine, the price of repair will decrease from $50 to $20.

If your machine needs to be repaired, a red icon will appear next to it. Simply click on your machine and select repair, and it will be good as new! You can also choose to purchase a new coffee machine or grinder, or simply level up what it is you already have.

Don’t Be Afraid To Ask ‘What?’ To Your Customers

Like Good Pizza, Great Pizza, the customers at Good Coffee, Great Coffee can have odd ways of saying their order. Some use pop culture references, while others simply go “MOO!” for a glass of milk. If you ever find yourself confused about what someone is ordering, don’t be afraid to ask “What?”

The only “consequence” of asking the “What?” question is that their happiness meter goes down, but not by a lot. Don’t be deterred by this, however— asking “What?” will save you time from flipping through the recipes on your MyPad. It will also lessen the chances of you getting the order wrong, which usually leads to a disappointed customer refunding your order.
