There are five fishing-related side missions in Monster Hunter Wilds, all of which are handed out by Kanya at the Scarlet Forest base camp.

Players will need these items to forge a wide variety of weapons and armor sets, but will have no way of acquiring them early on. Thankfully, however, they won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on them, as Guardian Pelts become available during the third chapter of Monster Hunter Wilds.

How to Get Guardian Pelts in Monster Hunter Wilds (Guardian Pelt Location)

After reaching Chapter 3 of Monster Hunter Wilds, players will begin to encounter Guardian monsters, several of which can drop Guardian Pelts. More specifically, players can get Guardian Pelts by hunting Guardian Doshaguma, Guardian Arkveld, and Zoh Shia in Low Rank encounters. Players will need to square off against all three of these enemies as part of the main story, and so should end up with a fairly decent stock of Guardian Pelts without having to farm for them.

How to Get Guardian Pelt + in Monster Hunter Wilds (Guardian Pelt Plus Location)

Guardian Pelt + is only available during High Rank encounters, with players having a chance of getting them after destroying the wounds of Guardian Doshaguma or Guardian Fulgur Anjanath. High rank unlocks at the end of Chapter 3, so this is the earliest point in the game that players can get their hands on Guardian Pelt +. After that, though, they should be fairly easy to come by.
