Following the extended trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, one trainer took it upon themselves to compile a handy graphic of all the confirmed and speculative creatures that will appear in the highly-anticipated game. Based on available knowledge, Pokemon Legends: Z-A will feature returning critters from the first six game generations, with the bulk of them first appearing in Pokemon X and Y.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A will take players back to Lumiose City, the Paris-inspired hub of the Kalos region. As trainers help with the transformation of Lumiose into a technological haven for people and Pokemon to coexist, they will also capture and battle with different Pokemon throughout the city. Pokemon Legends: Z-A will also allow different creatures to learn moves that were previously unavailable to them. As an example, the Grass-type Starter Chikorita can learn Disarming Voice, a Fairy-type attack that it cannot use in other games like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Pokemon Legends: Z-A will launch in late 2025, though a definitive release date remains unknown.

After going through the extended trailer and other available pieces of official media, a trainer posted a handy graphic detailing some of the Pokemon that players will encounter in Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Reddit user DarkkHumor posted 10 slides on the r/Pokemon subreddit that went over all the Pokemon seen so far that should appear in the game, and listed them in generational order. Along with Pokemon that made cameos in the trailer, DarkkHumor also marked some evolutions as hinted or predicted Pokemon that may appear naturally. Confirmed Pokemon had a green border, and hinted Pokemon were bordered in yellow. Examples of hinted Pokemon include Bayleef, Meganium, and the Eeveelution lineup. Some Pokemon that appeared on the Lumiose City map, including Houndoom, were also counted in DarkkHumor’s post.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Fan Shares Chart of Confirmed and Assumed Returning Creatures
The Kalos region had 47 confirmed or assumed representatives, with Zygarde’s various forms counted as separate entries. The Kanto region was not far behind, as 28 of its 151 Pokemon were shown on DarkkHumor’s list. No Pokemon from Alola, Galar, or Paldea were shown off in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, though the game will feature Pokemon Home connectivity. Additionally, the graph did not spotlight Mega Evolution forms, though their inclusion was confirmed in 2024 during the initial reveal of Pokemon Legends: Z-A. In response, fans thanked DarkkHumor for compiling the list.
Given that the anticipated Switch title will not launch for several months, there are still more things to learn about Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Only time will tell when The Pokemon Company will reveal more information.
