With new quests and rewards awaiting you within the queen’s court, there’s a lot to get done. We’ll help you get started on investigating the secrets the ancient queen left behind. Here’s everything you need to know to start and complete the In The Lonely Song Quest.
How To Open The Seal
After completing the In The Depths Of Night quest, meet with Livie outside the entrance to the palace underground ruins. She’ll show you how to unlock the seal blocking your path.
By inserting all the tokens into their slots on the door, the seal will break and allow you to enter the ruined building. Activate the warp spire inside, then follow the staircase to a deep pit.
The only way forward is down. Hop in and get ready to investigate the ruins of the past.
How To Navigate The Queen’s Palace Ruins
Once you’re inside the ruins, you’ll need to defeat the Esselings scattered throughout to restore the stuffed bear soldiers and unlock the giant doors. The number of blue diamonds on the door indicates how many soldiers must be restored to proceed forward.

The Broken Hallway
There are only two bear soldiers here to be restored. One is in the center of the room and the other is beside the door at the end of the corridor.
Carefully cross over the fallen pillars to reach the other side of the room and enter the next part of the ruins.
Here, there are two more soldiers, though you’ll need to carefully step along the toppling pillars to reach them and the staircase beyond. Freeing these soldiers opens the way forward to the courtyard.
The Doll Gallery
After you progress through the courtyard, you’ll drop through the floor to the Doll Gallery and get trapped inside a glass case. Escape by climbing on the additional cases, then detour to the right at the top of the room to reach a bear soldier. Backtrack to the start of the gallery to find the remaining three soldiers:
- In the center of the gallery. On the centermost platform, you’ll find this soldier surrounded by glass cases.
- In the western alcove. Detour to the left of the big door at the end of the corridor to find this soldier.
- On the eastern balcony. Facing the big door at the end, turn right to find the last soldier.
Once you find all of them, interact with the door to progress to the next part of the ruins.

Palace Old Courtyard
Once you reach the courtyard, you’ll hear a familiar voice panicking nearby. Head to your right to find a bear plushie dressed in red. It’s Investigator Locke, who shares some vital information with you before sending you on your way.
Talk with him before trying to unlock the door!
After your conversation, you’ll need to find the four bear soldiers in the courtyard:
- Along the eastern wall. Not far from where you found Locke, there’s a soldier standing guard.
- In the north western corner. Hidden in an alcove at the far end of the courtyard, you’ll find another soldier and Esseling.
- Atop the balcony. Overlooking the courtyard, there’s a soldier on the balcony for you to find.
- Next to the door. Adjacent to the door that’s locked, you’ll find the final soldier blocking your path.
Head through the doors, where you’ll need to find two more bear soldiers. One is tucked away under the platform you arrive on, and the other is located next to the door at the bottom.
How To Escape The Ruins
After witnessing the coming-of-age ceremony, you’ll have to escape the ruins before they collapse. Debris is falling all around you, and getting crushed will immediately end Nikki and Momo’s attempt.
Use the shadows to gauge where the debris will fall!
Dash around the ruins and use the debris to help cross gaps in the palace floor. You’ll need to act fast, but don’t be reckless. A bit of careful hesitation once up the stairs can help you avoid getting squashed under a bookcase.
Reach the end of the ruins, by Philomia’s throne, to escape back to the surface. From there, the truth will be revealed and you can return to Captain Hiya and Dada in the Florawish Stylist’s Guild.
There, you’ll share with them everything you know about the late queens and what truly happened all those centuries ago. The quest will conclude and you can go about your adventure in Miraland.
