There are many decisions to make in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 since this is, of course, an RPG. A lot of quests might give you a choice, and one wrong decision can lead to quest failure or make one of the involved parties angry. You may never know the full consequences until they happen. An example of this is the Thunderstone quest.
You have to go through multiple people to find the stone, but after all the effort, do you just give up the Thunderstone or keep it for yourself? This guide will guide you through the quest, from how to start it to how to find the actual Thunderstone, and it will help you make a decision at the end.
How To Start The Thunderstone Quest
After completing the main quest called Speak of the Devil, head to Grund in the Kuttenberg region, and locate Kona just near the fast travel point.
She will ask for your help in obtaining a Thunderstone
, which supposedly requires you to fight Thomlin of Horschan for it.
How To Get The Thunderstone
Ask Thomlin About The Thunderstone
Make your way to Horschan where you will find Thomlin planting in the field. Speak to him and choose the option to say, ‘I’m looking for the thunderstone.’
During the conversation, Thomlin will refuse to fight you, and Henry will need to convince him in order to get the thunderstone from him.
It’s easy to convince him to fight you; just be a bit persistent.
Once Thomlin agrees to the fight, you will need to meet him near the pen. If you’re not sure where that is, just follow him. Once you arrive, you will need to pay 500 Groschen to start the fight.
Midway through the fight, Thomlin will stop attacking, and this is where you need to stop, as continuing the fight will cause the quest to fail.
Speak to him after the duel, and he will tell you that he doesn’t have the thunderstone. However, he will direct you to Peter and Hensel, who are located in Raborsch.
Ask Hensel About The Thunderstone
When you arrive in Raborsch, you will only find Peter. Speak to him, and he will tell you that Hensel is being held at a nearby military camp.
You will need to locate the camp within the yellow search area on the map, which is toward the north. Once you find it, be cautious as the soldiers will attack on sight.
You can either take a stealthy approach or eliminate them all.
After dealing with the soldiers, your next task is to free Hensel, who is located just northeast of the map inside a hut. Go behind him, untie him, and then speak to him.
Unfortunately, Hensel doesn’t have the thunderstone either. He will direct you to another character, Mlada, who is located south of Suchdol.
Ask Mlada About The Thunderstone
Mlada actually has the thunderstone, but she believes it’s helping her husband, so you’ll need to figure out a way to get it from her.
There are two options: either you can help Peter by treating him or steal it from Mlada. The easier approach is to go for the stealing option and you can do that during the night.
Once you finally have the thunderstone in your hands, it’s time to decide what to do with it.
How To Complete The Thunderstone Quest
Now that you have the Thunderstone after a lot of searching, you have three options on what to do with it.
- The first option is to keep it for yourself. If you want to do that, simply go to either Thomlin or Kona and tell them you are keeping it.
- The second option is to give it to Thomlin.
- The third option is to give it to Kona.
Whichever option you pick will only have a slight variation in the reward you receive and it will complete the Thunderstone quest.
Personally, since I went through all the trouble to find it, might as well keep it for myself.
