To get the Ethereal Prism Rod in Fisch, you’ll need to unlock the Calm Zone giant door, complete the Veil of the Forsaken Bestiary, and then purchase the rod for 15,000,000 currency from the middle of the rainbow river. If that sounds overwhelming, just take it one step at a time.
Since this rod is located beyond the Calm Zone giant door, you’ll first need to gain access to the area. To get there, hop into your submarine and travel to the final part of the Mariana’s Veil trench. Keep doing submarine upgrade quests at each level to unlock deeper layers. Once you reach the Calm Zone, head right from the Submarine Shipwright, finish the Obby, and solve the giant door puzzle by catching and placing three secret fish on their podiums. Once the door opens, you’ll find the real rainbow river with a small island in the middle, where the Ethereal Prism Rod rests. But there’s a catch — you’ll need to complete the entire Veil of the Forsaken Bestiary before you can purchase it. It’s the last location in Mariana’s Veil, and to reach it, you have to solve the chessboard puzzle beyond the Calm Zone giant gate. Once the trapdoor opens, jump into the chamber to face the Scylla boss, Hydra. Defeating it will unlock the Veil of the Forsaken pond, allowing you to fish and wrap up the bestiary. After you’ve checked off every creature in the bestiary, head back to the Ethereal Prism Rod’s location and buy it for a whopping 15,000,000 in-game currency.
