During the mission, Henry will be promoted to commander by Zizka, so you will have to recruit a few troops. There are some side objectives and a really tough fight. Here, we will guide you on how to complete this quest without any problem.
How To Complete So It Begins… Quest
The first objective is to stop the attack on the fortress. Your main aim is to push down the ladders. Run around the palisade and knock down any ladders you see. Also, make sure to defeat any enemy that manages to climb the wall via a ladder.
If the enemies are pilling up, then don’t rush in; instead, wait for your allies to take aggro and then attack them from behind. After a while, the enemies will try to break the front gate. So pick up the boulders and throw on the ones trying to get inside through the main gate. Once you have survived for a while, the enemies will retreat. After that, rest, and in the morning, Godwin will accompany you. He will give you some advice, so follow him and then talk to Zizka.
It is better to complete some other objectives before talking to Zizka, as he will task you with even more work. So, first go to see Janosh and talk to him about food. When done, head over to Frenzl and ask him about ammunition supplies. He wants you to sharpen two swords, which can be found right next to him on the table. Use the sharpening wheel to repair the swords. After doing so, let Frenzl know.
You can also visit Musa and Katherine in the infirmary. They are in the northwest corner of the courtyard. After that, you can talk to Zizka.
Recruit The Members
Upon talking to Zizka he will make you a commander and assign you to recruit some men. He will already tell you who to recruit, so you just need to follow the coordinates on your map. Once you have recruited everyone, they will all gather in a spot near the blacksmith.
When talking to Zizka, make sure to keep Godwin’s advice in mind. Don’t question his orders, and when Christian of Pisek asks you what should be done, choose the option “Zizka should make that decision.” This will also increase your reputation.
Once the conversation has started, you will be given some skill checks. The best bet is to use the persuasion one, “The Praguers won’t last long.”, as we had only 17 points, and it was successful. After that, tell your men to reinforce the night watch. By choosing this option, you will be better prepared for an attack that will appear during the night. This will also help you increase even more reputation with Zizka.
After that, it is time to rest. Go to your room, and you will notice Hans Capon sitting outside. Talk to him and choose the option “I have good men.” This will likely succeed as we had only 14 points in the scholarship skill, and it was a success.
Now that you have talked to Capon go to your bed and sleep. Shortly after, the Dry Devil will wake you up.
Defeat The Enemies
After you have talked to the Dry Devil, you will be tasked to go and check four places. In each place, you will have to speak to the guards. However, that isn’t necessary. You just have to head to the eastern palisade.
You don’t have to go to the other guards marked on your map; just going to the eastern one is enough.
To go there, follow the T marker on your map. Once you are there, talk to the guard, and you will notice he is acting suspiciously. Ask him why he called you a lord, and then it is only a matter of time before he attacks you. It doesn’t matter what you say to him; he will attack you either way.
Following his attack, more enemies will rush. Defeat the ones that are already in the courtyard and then push down the ladders. Once you have pushed down all the ladders, help your allies to defeat the remaining enemies.
After that, everyone will gather in the outer courtyard, so wait with them for Zizka. Talk to him, and if you asked your men previously to reinforce the night watch, you would increase your reputation with Zizka. However, even if you didn’t choose that option, pin the blame on the Dry Devil as he neglected his duties. Either way, your reputation will increase. After that, a cutscene will commence, and the quest will end.
