With a surplus of customization options across several fleshed-out museums, you’ll be curating for quite some time.

Perks are power-ups of sorts that you can place onto exhibits of higher rarity – the rarer the exhibit, the more perk slots its likely to have. You’ll never need perks to thrive in your museums, but they offer some sweet extra stats to your rarest exhibits.

Perks Enhance Your Rarest Exhibits

If you’re playing Two Point Museum in the campaign mode, it’ll be a little bit before you’re able to access perks. These are one of the central components of the Bungle Wasteland museum, dedicated to all things technology and progress. As you discover a wealth of workshop projects across the Wasteland while out on expeditions, plenty of the Places of Interest you’ll need to explore also offer access to a variety of unique power-ups.

These Perks can do things like:

  • Increase guest stats, such as Buzz or Knowledge, in addition to what’s offered by any individual perks from the exhibit itself after you’ve reached its Buzz Bonus requirements.
  • Deter thieves from considering the exhibit with a security perk as a mark for their heist, which is especially helpful to place on rarer exhibits.
  • Decrease the frequency with which exhibits become dirty or require attention, helping with museum upkeep.

These perks offer plenty of options to boost the stats of your exhibits at any given museum since, while you’ll begin discovering them on the Bungle Interest map of expedition locations, you’ll be able to install perks in any museum once you’ve got them. This is because an exhibit’s ability to accept perks is related directly to how rare it is. The rarer an exhibit, the more perk slots it will have, which offer tons of ways to increase the Buzz and hype around your coolest exhibits.

Other than exploring Bungle Wasteland, though, you’ll also find that you get perks for deconstructing exhibits. Not only does doing this increase your Enlightenment in that field, but each exhibit you deconstruct will also net you a perk to put on another exhibit in its place.

How To Install Perks On Exhibits

Once you’ve made your discoveries and have collected a handful of perks from expeditions in Bungle Wasteland and you’re ready to install them on an exhibit, click any exhibit of Great or higher quality. In the first panel of information for that exhibit, you’ll see a plus sign under the Perks section right beside the quality of the plant. Click the plus sign to bring up a menu of every perk you’ve discovered so far in Two Point Museum and simply select your perk from the list.

A Janitor installs the perk for you after it’s been selected, so be sure someone is available for the task. After installing, the perk will remain on this exhibit as long as you’ve got it, providing that bonus to the display or its surrounding area until you sell or analyze it. You can choose to remove the perk manually if you’d like, disposing of that perk in the process.
