Summary
- Helldivers 2 just revealed a bunch of interesting stats about the Galactic War.
- The community has killed nearly 300 billion enemies, and died just 2.8 billion times.
- The Illuminate, meanwhile, have killed roughly 1.7 million Helldivers every day since they first joined the Galactic War.
I don’t want to discourage the valiant efforts of Super Earth’s defenders, but Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead just shared a bunch of stats detailing how democracy is faring in the Galactic War and there have been billions of deaths.
1.2 billion troops have been felled by the Automaton, and another 1.5 billion by the Terminid. Then we have the surprisingly low 38.5 million deaths caused by friendly fire. I say low; that’s roughly the population of Canada. Good job, guys.
But it’s not all doom and “Sweet liberty, my leg!” Collectively, the Helldivers 2 community has killed 280 billion enemies, which is akin to wiping out the entire population of the Earth over 35 times.
The Illuminate Have Killed 1.7 Million Helldivers Every Day Since They Invaded
Another interesting stat is that the Illuminate have killed 83 million Helldivers. Let’s put that into perspective. These figures are dated January 31, which was 48 days after the Illuminate first stepped foot onto the intergalactic stage during The Game Awards 2024. That means they’ve killed 1.7 million Helldivers every day since they first invaded.
That sounds devastating, but they aren’t anywhere near the wholesale slaughter the bugs and bots have unleashed upon Super Earth. On average, the bots killed 3.3 million soldiers every day, whereas the bugs massacred a staggering 4.1 million every day. The Illuminate look like rookies, by comparison.
Tally all the deaths together, however, and you have a figure of 2.8 billion deaths — ie 35 percent of all humanity on Earth. That’s the population of India and China combined. But hey, we at least delivered 275 million hugs?
