Firaxis Games has released Update 1.1.0 for the 4X turn-based strategy game Sid Meier’s Civilization 7, which adds several UI improvements, the Bermuda Triangle natural wonder, balance passes to Mementos, and much more. The Civilization 7 community has been generally pleased with the update so far, but players still have several suggestions for the devs to tackle in future updates, including a reduction of disasters based on play speed and improvements to maps that some deem too dark.
Civilization 7 was released at the start of February 2025, where players control the growth of human civilization, spanning from the early ages to the advanced cultures. PlayStation 5 players have reported gaining unplanned early access to Civilization 7’s DLC titled Crossroads of the World Part 2, which is not scheduled to release until March 25. The recent update was only meant to include Part 1 of the downloadable content, but lucky PS5 players who bought the DLC or the Founder’s Edition now have access to both parts.

Since Civilization 7 has a long list of beneficial Mementos, changes have been implemented to turn these features into more viable choices, as some previously overshadowed Leader and civ abilities. Additionally, PC players have a host of new features to become acquainted with, including Holy Cities that can now be converted, and several updates to the Modern Age Geographic Society like an increase to the number of Artifacts that are spawned on Tiny maps.
Civilization 7 has already released its content roadmap for 2025, giving players plenty to look forward to in the year ahead. After the Crossroads of the World DLC, Firaxis will release the Right to Rule Collection between April and September, which will add two new Leaders, four new Civs, and four World Wonders for free, alongside new events, challenges and updates. Additionally, the developer has teased more free content to come arriving in October and beyond.
