Twitch streamer Rachell ‘Valkyrae’ Hofstetter has vowed to track down the man responsible for harassing her, Emiru, and Cinna during an IRL stream. The incident took place during the Sis-A-Thon, a week-long marathon hosted by Twitch personalities Valkyrae and Cinna, which began on February 25.
The incident happened during their March 2 IRL stream when Valkyrae, Cinna, and Emiru were out at the Santa Monica Pier. A stream sniper eventually approached, asking for their numbers over and over. He didn’t stop there, however, as after they turned him down, he dropped to one knee, started singing, and kept trailing them even when they tried to walk away. The situation escalated when he tried to lunge at them but was held back by security and the streamers’ crew. The whole thing was caught on camera, hit social media quickly, and had fans worried. Valkyrae and Cinna later hopped online to say they were safe but needed to wrap up Sis-A-Thon early.

Popular streamer Valkyrae isn’t letting this slide. During her March 3 stream, she made it clear she was taking the situation seriously, saying she was putting everything she could into tracking the man down. She urged anyone with information to come forward, showing her urgency in bringing him to justice as quickly as possible. She added that since the whole thing was caught on stream, they’ve got pictures of his face to use.
Valkyrae & Cinna Share More on Stream Sniper Attack
The streamers later shared more details of the incident, revealing that after the confrontation, they took shelter inside a store to get away from him. That worked for a short time, but they didn’t know where he went after, which left them scared. They stayed hidden in a shed for 15 minutes until police arrived on March 2. Twitch star Valkyrae said it was terrifying, talking about how they couldn’t tell if he was still near the pier or planning something more.
IRL streams pull big crowds, but they come with real dangers as plenty of incidents have popped up over the years. Streamers, especially women, deal with harassment, stalking, and physical run-ins from viewers who take advantage of the live setup. For instance, back in 2023, a man got arrested in Thailand after chasing Twitch streamer Justketh, and in 2022, another female IRL streamer had her phone grabbed by someone passing by, leaving her viewers concerned.
