After the release of Cyberpunk 2077‘s 2.0 update, clothing received a massive overhaul, in which players can use it purely for cosmetic reasons, rather than a reliance on mods and armor bonuses. Cyberpunk 2077 has evolved since its release, and provided with the base game and the expansion, Phantom Liberty, current-gen players can get their hands on some pretty cool cosmetics, showcasing V’s style and outfits in a manner of ways.

Unlocking some outfits isn’t going to be easy, as Night City is a large and dangerous place. Yet, with the right tools for the job, players can acquire the best clothes and outfits in Cyberpunk 2077 to make V stand out from the crowd, and search for a cure in style.

Johnny’s Aviators

How To Get: Earned at the Start of Run This Town (Phantom Liberty Gig)

Since Johnny and V have their minds linked, it’s no surprise that finding Johnny’s classic aviators will become a major part of binding the characters together in a shared headspace. Johnny’s Aviators are stylish, and the red tint of his sunglasses can’t contain the bright spark of coolness that this character oozes with each step and breath. Wearing Johnny’s aviators isn’t vital for anything, but it sure does help V look cool as he walks around Night City wearing the shades of the coolest rocker boy imaginable, and it also helps Johnny in a way so that he doesn’t have to stare at the bright lights of Night City with a permanent hangover.

NUS Infiltrator

The NUS Infiltrator comes in from the New United States, the Federal Presidential Republic that has more military budget than they could ever spend, which is why it’s nice that V can get their hands on a set of their most prestigious Infiltrator attire for the toughest of combat situations. While the NUS Infiltrator isn’t the most impressionable of suits and armors that V can wear, it still holds a special place due to its rarity, and the fact that most players might never have this set, nor have even seen it, makes it special indeed.

Bandage Wrapping

How To Get: Complete The Heist & Playing for Time in Act One

After completing Act One through the Playing for Time quest, V can wake up in their apartment with a new set of bandages. It’s a set for players who really don’t care how they look, and it shows how damaged V really is after the heist on Arasaka Plaza where Saburo was murdered and Jackie lost his life. This set is literally just a pair of pants and bloodied bandages, but it’s quite striking to see V wear them as if they do not care for their appearance, only how to save their life. It’s as if V has woken up, hellbent on finding a cure, with no other fashionable distractions to waste their time.

A three-piece suit made from the finest materials, the organic wool of this outfit is deserving as none other than the greatest assassin to ever curse Night City and Dogtown, Aguilar. Aguilar is an extremely dangerous assassin who should be feared, and wearing his suit will give V the confidence to embrace that infamous killer within. It’s a fun mission and a cute reward for the best of killers.

How To Get: Acquired After Search and Destroy in the Tapeworm Quest

Whilst Johnny’s Tank Top might just look like the standard tank top of a Samurai fanboy, the genuine Johnny Silverhand dog tags make it the real deal, and something that was gifted to V as part of Silverhand’s set of clothes, a promise that Johnny and V are bound to one another, whether that’s as friends or a shared mind. Acquiring Johnny’s tank top is a promise from Johnny, plus it looks pretty cool to run around as Johnny Silverhand like it’s 2023.

Arasaka Spacesuit

How To Get: Only Available in Path of Glory Ending

Taking to space should have been the canceled Cyberpunk 2077 DLC in which V takes to the stars for the heist of the century. Instead, the outfit that features briefly in the Path of Glory ending is locked behind that singular cutscene, and players cannot actually use it in-game unless they are on PC with console commands.

It’s not hard to obtain through console commands, but the fact that that’s a required step can be rather disappointing. Either way, running around Night City as an astronaut is a lot of fun.

There’s something about cowboys in a cyberpunk setting that just works so well, and with the Roach Whisperer outfit, players can recreate that look. It’s the perfect outfit, thanks to the jeans, dusty jacket, cowboy hat, and thick boots. With this outfit, players can wrangle the gangs of Night City and show them how it’s done, and all they need to do is try their luck at Roach Race, showcasing their talent for being a horse whisperer.

For those with Phantom Liberty installed, they can receive a free new outfit from Solomon Reed during one of the Main Jobs of the expansion. This outfit, the Stylish Suit, provides V with a unique and smart look, perfect for espionage and looking good.

It’s a great-looking suit that works perfectly for adding charm and confidence, especially for someone who wants to break into Dogtown’s impenetrable Black Sapphire.

Replica Of Johnny’s Samurai Jacket

How To Get: Given To V By Rogue During Chippin’ In

It’s a reward in its own to see Johnny Silverhand’s character growth throughout Cyberpunk 2077, and aiding him enough will see players unlock the Side Job Chippin’ In. At the start of this mission, players can get their hands on Johnny Silverhand’s Samurai Jacket, the iconic jacket that adorns the covers for the game itself. This jacket looks great on V, and although it’s just a replica, one wouldn’t be able to distinguish it from the real thing.

MaxTac is a dreaded force to be reckoned with. This elite squad is above the law, and they are the last line of defense against a cyberpsycho in Night City. With this outfit, players can roleplay as a member of MaxTac, and even deal with threats to Night City that they deem worthy of a bullet to the head. Sadly, this outfit is only accessible for the female V body type, unless players have access to mods.

Trauma Team leaves a great first impression on players from the moment they meet them. An elite division of combat medics, the Trauma Team takes care of their partners and customers by rushing to their aid when injured, no matter how many fatalities are needed to get to their target.

For added fun, players can now get their hands on a Trauma Team uniform but don’t expect to save any lives with it, as V’s merc life is all about killing.

How To Get: Complete The Star Ending

V roams Night City without a life, desperate to become a Legend so that they can feel like they belong. Enter the Aldecaldos, a nomad group outside of Night City that helps V to discover what it means to be a part of a community, a family. By following the Aldecaldos and joining them in the final mission, players can become a part of this family alongside Panam Palmer, and receive one of their most stylistic nomad jackets in the process.

How To Get: Looted From Various Dead Police Officers In Watson and Santo Domingo

Night City is a dangerous place, and the endless bodies of NCPD Officers prove just that. Players can even loot these dead officers to claim their uniforms, building their own perfect set of cop clothes to fool Night City into thinking that V is the law. Whilst purely cosmetic, it’s still a fun set to wear and immerse in, as players can take to Night City to clean up the streets as judge, jury, and executioner.

David Martinez was the famed mercenary of Night City who eventually led the Edgerunners’ crew in 2076. Audiences would learn more of David’s story through the CD Projekt RED x Netflix anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, where Night City was further enriched, and the emotional story of David was told through multiple exciting episodes. Now, players can honor David not only through his drink at The Afterlife, but also by wearing his iconic jacket, an Emergency Medical Technician jacket once worn by David’s mother, Gloria, and adorned with the Edgerunners symbol on the back.
