One Piece has showcased many interesting weapons throughout its years of serialization, and the newest one can be found in Elbaf, wielded by a powerful Prince.
Ragnir is the most recent legendary weapon to be showcased, and it’s wielded by none other than Loki, the Accursed Prince of Elbaf, who until the last chapter, was chained down and restricted.
Fans have yet to see the extent of the power that Ragnir holds, but now that Loki is free, this might definitely change with the next chapter, One Piece 1142.
What is Ragnir Based On?
Based On Mjolnir
Ragnir is definitely an interesting weapon, but it isn’t something exactly new that Oda created, as it’s based on the most famous weapon from Norse mythology, Mjolnir, the mighty Warhammer wielded by the Thunder God Thor.

While Mjolnir and Ragnir aren’t a 1 to 1 copy, Ragnir is clearly based on Mjolnir, even just taking into account the names. It’s definitely interesting that Oda would give a character named Loki this hammer.
