Monster Hunter Wilds has had one hell of a launch. Not only did it enter Steam’s top-ten charts within an hour, but it also surpassed one million concurrent players within six hours. While the game has its share of performance issues and even a game-breaking bug, there’s no doubt that it’s already a Game of the Year contender.

While slaying monsters and making weapons out of their body parts is great, we all know that one of the highlights of the series is its delicious looking food. Unfortunately, we don’t have the likes of Grammeowster and Meowscular Chef preparing these buff-delivering dishes, they still look stunning. So much so that there’s now a high demand for an Indian favourite – cheese naan.

Butter Rathalos With Cheese Naan

While Indian food is one of the most diverse cuisines you can think of, most of the world only knows about north Indian food – butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, naan, etc. However, most of you may have not heard of cheese naan, which is essentially an upgrade to the Indian bread type.

Monster Hunter Wilds has decided to share this knowledge with the rest of the world by introducing you all to cheese naan. It’s a delicious Indian bread with a healthy serving of melted cheese on the top is the perfect accompaniment for almost any North Indian dish, or even works as a great snack by itself.

The delicious depiction of the dish in the game has resulted in a surge of fans ordering the dish from their local Indian restaurants. Fans have been trying to recreate the dish, or asking where they can get some. As pointed out by Eurogamer, one Indian restaurant in Tokyo received an order for 99 cheese naans.

However, as an Indian, I feel like I have to tell you all that while the naan you see in the game looks delicious, you are doing yourself a great disservice if you aren’t ordering from an authentic Indian restaurant that makes its naan in a traditional oven, known as a tandoor. Otherwise, it’s just cheese on a flatbread. Do yourself a favour and order cheese garlic naan from one of these places. It’s an absolute favourite in India, and a staple snack with drinks as well.
