Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – For Victory! Walkthrough

For Victory! is the start of a plot-heavy group of main quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Otto von Bergow recruited Henry and Hans to assist his men in an attack on Nebakov fortress.

Henry must do a few things to prepare for battle, including a bountiful feast, potential romance, and more. Then, players must fight their way through an intense battle. Here’s a complete walkthrough of For Victory! in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.

For Victory! Walkthrough in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

For Victory! starts right after Henry and Hans question the prisoner about what is happening at Nebakov. The first objective is to talk to Hans Capon that evening, but players can talk to him any evening after that.

Players will reach a Point of No Return when they start the quest, so finish up any remaining side quests and tasks before talking to Hans.

Hans will be hanging out in the walkway over the courtyard at 7PM.

Talk to Hans Capon in the Evening

Henry should dress nicely before going to the party. Players can go by the Tailor Bartoshek in Troskowitz to get noble’s clothes if needed. Players should talk to Han when ready to go to the feast.

The feast starts with Hans and Henry talking to Otto von Bergow and Chamberlain Ulrich. Players will get an opportunity to earn Good Reputation with Otto von Bergow and Hans Capon by selecting the following dialogue options:

• MEDIUM We have the same interests. – Speech
• (Stand up for Capon)

Enjoy the Feast

After the beginning scene, Henry is released to enjoy the feast. Players will get to talk to nobles and pick up a few tasks from some of the guests. Talk to as many people as possible to make the most of Henry’s night.

Hans will flag Henry down as soon as he walks in that direction. Players can talk to him and gain reputation before he goes off to bed, warning Henry not to get too drunk.

Otto von Bergow

Players can talk to von Bergow and the Chamberlain. They’ll briefly discuss the war, and Henry will gain reputation with Bergow.

Knights Olbram and Bor

Knights Olbram and Bor are standing next to a window in front of the performers. They’ll tell Henry about something called The Finger of God.

Knight Herrmann Littlehead

Knight Herrmann Littlehead will invite Henry into some mischief with him. He wants to get revenge on Florian, so he sends Henry to steal a ring from Florian’s chest in the Maid’s tower. Then, Henry is supposed to give the ring to another woman to cause some trouble with Florian’s other beau.

Players will need to stealth their way over to that side of the castle if they choose to get the ring for him. Once Henry gets the ring, he should return to the feast and talk to Adelta, the girl sitting next to Florian in the red dress.

When she asks who the ring is from, Henry should say:

He will lose reputation with Florian, but Herrmann Littlehead will reward him with a Strength skill book and Weak Savior Shnapps.

Bailiff Goathead

Players can also talk to Baliff Goathead for a game of dice. If they win, they’ll get 110 Groschen.

Get the Wine

Otto von Bergow offered Hans some good wine from Katherine in the kitchen. Henry was tasked with fetching it for him, so players must do this before leaving. Go to the kitchen, find Cook Manyeta, and ask where Katherine is. She offers to get the wine for Hans himself and asks Henry if he can open the stuck Herb chest.

Players don’t have to unlock the chest to get the wine, but they’ll earn a good reputation with her if they do. The chest is down in the lower kitchen against the wall between a table and a shelf. It is a medium lock, and if players are having trouble, they can take a Quickfinger potion to boost their lockpicking temporarily.

Get the Armor

Next, Henry must also get Hans’ armor. Go to the Smithy and ask for the armor. He will tell Henry that he doesn’t have any more, but Henry can pass a dialogue skill check to get decent armor:

• MEDIUM I don’t want to quarrel. – Speech
• MEDIUM I’ll tell the Chamberline. – Domination
• MEDIUM You’re trying to fleece me! – Intimidation

On a success, he will give Henry some armor, but it will need fixing. Players can repair it at the Smithy or use Armorer’s and Blacksmith’s Kits.

Go to Sleep

Players must get some sleep to end the night. Henry doesn’t have to spend the night alone if he doesn’t want to. Players can share a night of passion with Black Bartosch or Widow Johanka.

Both romance options are at the feast. Black Bartosch also gives Henry some information about the people attending the party, regardless of whether the players romance him.

Give Hans the Wine and Equipment

Players can give Hans the wine and equipment when they wake up the next morning. He will ask Henry if he is ready to head out, but players will have a chance to change their clothes if they need to.

Once ready, tell Hans and then follow him down to the gate where von Bergow’s army is waiting. The troop will head out and the game switches to a cutscene.

Follow Hans Capon

The cutscene takes players almost all the way to Nebakov before they are ambushed in the forest near the fortress. At this players must fight their way through to Nebakov with Hans. Stay close to Hans to ensure he doesn’t die during the confrontation.

Players can drink Marigold potions to replenish health if they take too much damage.

Players will follow Hans all the way to the mill outside of Nebakov before a group of enemy bandits stops them. Henry will come face to face with their leader, and he challenges Henry to a duel.

Once players win the duel, their fate is a mystery as the quest ends with a cutscene showing von Bergow’s men being hanged. Then, players will start the next quest playing as Godwin.
