Players will find one of the two Lord’s Overcoat

available in KCD2 while completing the Dragon’s Lair Quest, since the item is in possession of one of the enemies that Henry will face during this long quest: Leopold, the Alchemist.

Players first encounter Leopold as he tries to bully Monk Slava, and if things fail abruptly and a fight breaks there, Henry will be branded as a murderer and will not be able to take the Lord’s Overcoat from him. The best thing players can do is to follow up the quest until they encounter Leopold for the second time, just a few moments after they dig out the dragon bones.

Players need to reject Leopold and the Mercenaries proposal, fight them, and when they stop the fight, act aggressively and keep killing all the enemies (which is quite complicated without many potion buffs and the proper full plate armor). After killing Leopold and his goons, players can loot his body to get the Lord’s Overcoat. Keep in mind that this is the only Quality 3 version of the coat they will find.

Of course, to get this Coat from the deranged Alchemist, players will need to bypass all its security and fight through a camp full of mercenaries. So, both of the versions of the Lord’s Overcoat won’t be easy to obtain, though, since they offer the best protection in the game, they are worth the try. The Lord’s Overcoat offers 22 Blunt Defense, 11 Slash Defense, and three Piercing Defense.
